"Blue is a mysterious color, the rarest color in nature. It is the color of ambiguous depth, of the heavens and of the abyss at once, the tint of the marvelous and the inexplicable..." Special thanks to Docent Rick Pettit for the wonderful China Cove pix and sharing the amazing quote from Alexander Theroux.

We proudly partner with California State Parks to help care for extraordinary places like Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, Carmel River State Beach, and Ishxenta State Park — where majestic beauty meets deep respect for nature.

From spectacular sunsets to everyday heroism, California State Park lifeguards are out there protecting visitors along our Central Coast. Their commitment and quick action exemplify why we all care so deeply about these special places. 🌊🛟

Do you know someone who loves the ocean and wants to make a difference? State Parks is currently seeking more lifeguards to help safeguard our gorgeous — and sometimes challenging — coastline. Share this opportunity with a friend who might be ready to serve where it matters most. 💙

A lifeguard tryout is scheduled for March 7th at Del Monte Beach.
