The people who ensure our safety should never be without a safety net themselves. We also host special events in appreciation of our heroes and members.

As a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization, our mission is to provide financial assistance and resources for the women and men of the Carmel Police Department, the Carmel Fire Department, as well as the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. Our goal is to make sure that in the event of the unthinkable, the families of these real-life heroes are not left in need when it matters most. Therefore, the Heroes Club funds a $400,000 life insurance policy for any firefighter, police officer, or public safety employee who falls in the line of duty within Clay Township and the city of Carmel. All dues and donations are tax-deductible and, we believe, a very small sacrifice intended as gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice made on our behalf.

Congratulations to Carmel Police Chief Drake
Sterling, our Heroes Club advisor, on being named a
2026 IACP 40 Under 40 Award recipient!

This global honor recognizes 40 law enforcement leaders under 40 for outstanding leadership and community commitment. Since becoming chief in 2024, Chief Sterling has expanded CPD’s officer wellness program and helped launch one of Indiana’s earliest Drone as First Responder programs.

Thank you for all you do for Carmel and The Heroes Club. Well deserved! 👏🏼

When floodwaters rose in our community recently, they didn’t just damage property — they took everything from one of our local heroes. A local police officer and his family with two young children is facing the unimaginable: his family’s home and every belonging in it, gone.

The Heroes Club is stepping in to help this officer and his family rebuild — but we can’t do it without you. Every donation, big or small, goes directly toward getting the family back on their feet. We are proud to be based here in Carmel and taking care of our own. Giving to this fund keeps more money in the hands of the people who need it most.

The Heroes Club is honored to present an $11,000 check presentation to Boone County Sheriff’s Office in support of their therapy dog program! 🚔❤️

Therapy dogs like Boone play a vital role in supporting officers, and staff — offering comfort after difficult calls, easing stress in every day life.

At The Heroes Club, we’re proud to invest in programs that support the mental health and wellbeing of the men and women who serve and protect us every day and we are always grateful to our donors who make this possible.
