πŸ’‘ Myth vs. Reality: Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

❌ MYTH: Indiana can't afford to expand Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).

βœ… REALITY: Indiana's HCBS system has become more efficient over time. The inflation-adjusted cost per waiver participant decreased from $74,900 in 2013 to $45,700 in 2023β€”while serving more Hoosiers.

Community-based supports aren't just the right thing to doβ€”they're a smart investment. HCBS helps people with disabilities live independently, build meaningful relationships, work in their communities, and make choices about their own lives.

Every Hoosier deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and choice.
