Did you know you can recycle plastic bags and other plastic film at your local Kroger?

Most curbside bins don't accept plastic film, but Kroger stores have drop-off bins near the entrance for:

- Plastic shopping bags
- Bread and produce bags
- Zip-lock style bags (empty and clean)
- Dry cleaning bags and plastic wrap

Just make sure items are clean and dry before dropping them off. Once collected, the film gets processed into new materials like composite lumber, keeping it out of landfills and in the loop.

This small habit can create a real impact. Find a drop-off location at How2Recycle.info or check inside your local Kroger's entrance.

Meet Pam Francis, a commercial interior designer and 9-year leader of Circular Indiana. Over the years, Pam has served as Secretary, VP, and currently serves as President.

In her work, Pam's team reuses materials, reduces unnecessary new construction, donates unused items, selects circular and healthy building materials, and educates others in the industry to do the same. At home, she composts, avoids over-buying, and prioritizes durable goods over disposable ones.

We are grateful for Pam's years of leadership and passion. Circular Indiana wouldn't be what it is without her!

Celebrated every June 5 since 1973, it is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment. This year's theme focuses on accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.

Climate action starts with community, and this is a great place to plug in. 🌱

Our friends at Earth Charter Indiana are hosting their Climate Voter Engagement Campaign Kickoff on June 6th from 1 to 3 pm at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library in Indianapolis.

This event brings together people who care about protecting our environment and neighborhoods, with a focus on how we can register, educate, and motivate voters ahead of the midterms. Refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome.
