🚨 URGENT PLEA — WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨
PLEASE SHARE

Our Street Level pantry is EMPTY. We are completely
Out of many items to make snack bags for the individuals we serve.

For many of our friends experiencing homelessness, these snack bags are what get them through the days when a hot meal isn’t available.

Every. Single. Item. Matters.

These items may seem small to you, but to someone who doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from, it could mean the difference between having something to eat and going hungry that day! Our guests rely on these snack bags to keep them fueled.

We are desperately asking our community to help us fill these bags again.

Our most urgent needs:
▪️Pop-Tarts
▪️Nutri-Grain or other soft breakfast bars or mini muffins
▪️Tuna, chicken salad, or pulled pork packets
▪️Applesauce cups or pouches

📍 DONATION DROP-OFFS this week:
TODAY (Tuesday): 11:00–3:30
FRIDAY: 11:00–3:30

Please, if you’re able, pick up a few extra items- even one box of pop-tarts makes a difference. And if you can’t give right now, SHARE this post. Someone in your circle may be able to help! 🫶🏼

And if you’re a new donor or would like to learn more about our organization please join Street Level- Volunteers/Donors!

Here are our the other snack bag items and other needs:

▪️fruit cups
▪️snacks cakes
▪️peanut butter crackers
▪️peanut butter to-go cups
▪️backpacks

📍 TONIGHT | November 2 at 5:00 PM
Cape Girardeau City Hall

Street Level will be presenting to the Cape Girardeau City Council tonight, and we’d love for our community to join us!

We’ll be reintroducing Street Level, sharing our mission, and highlighting the work we’re doing to serve individuals experiencing homelessness right here in Cape Girardeau.

We are also incredibly honored that Mayor Robbie Guard will be presenting a mayoral proclamation recognizing November as National Homelessness Awareness Month!

This is a meaningful opportunity to bring greater awareness to homelessness in our community and the importance of coming alongside those who need support.

All Cape Girardeau citizens are welcome to attend! We would love to see some familiar faces there as we continue advocating for those we serve. 💚

November- National Homelessness Awareness Month

This month, we encourage our community to be more intentional about seeing the people around us, recognizing their needs, and finding simple ways to help.

Sometimes making a difference is as easy as keeping extra gloves, warm socks, stocking caps, or hot hands in your car to offer someone in need. A kind conversation, a warm meal, or connecting someone with Street Level can go a long way.

Here’s a reminder of what’s happening this November:

📍 November 2 | 5 PM
City Council Presentation – Cape Girardeau City Hall
All are welcome- please join us!

📦 November 7 | 8 AM
Cardboard Sign Brigade – Capaha Park

🌿 November 7 | 8:30 AM
Green Sweep Community Cleanup – Capaha Park
We’d love for you to come join us!

☕ November 14 | 10 AM–12 PM
Street Level Open House – 937 Broadway

🦃 November 21 | Grace United Methodist Church
• Fill the Truck Donation Drive – 9 AM–3 PM

• 4th Annual Street Level Thanksgiving Meal – 12 PM

Homelessness is happening right here in our community. Awareness is important, but compassion put into action is what makes a difference.

Let’s be a community that doesn’t just see a need, but responds to it. 💚

STEP UP WITH STREET LEVEL

We’re calling on our community to rally alongside our Street Level volunteers as we come together to make a difference!

📅 SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7

📦 8:00 AM | CARDBOARD SIGN BRIGADE
📍 Broadway (West End to Perry)

We need a few extra hands to help stake our homelessness awareness signs into the ground! If you have a hammer and a little time to spare, we’d love your help!

🌿 8:30 AM | GREEN SWEEP
📍 Capaha Park

We’re inviting EVERYONE to join our Street Level volunteers for a community cleanup! Bring your family, friends, or coworkers and help us show some love to the community we all share! This is a great opportunity to get kiddos involved as well!

📍 Want to participate? Meet us at the lower pavilion at Capaha Park, accessible from the Broadway entrance!

💚 November is National Homelessness Awareness Month, and we’re using this opportunity to not only raise awareness about homelessness in our community and the programs available to help, but also to put our mission into action.
