It's officially SUMMER! ☀️

While some of us look forward to longer days and warmer weather, summer can bring new challenges for families in our community. Higher utility bills, child care needs, and increased food costs can put extra strain on households already working hard to make ends meet.

That's why United Way's network is here year-round, helping meet immediate needs while also addressing the barriers that create them. Together, we're building a stronger community in every season.

A day in the life of Empower Life Community Services Inc

Veronica from our Community Investment Committee and Elizabeth visited incoming partner, Empower Life Community Services Inc in Chaffee this week. This welcoming center was bustling with activity! Mothers and kiddos of all ages played games and enjoyed Boredom Buster crafts, PEO met, community members popped in for coffee and goodies, and Matthew and his mom were giving of their time to prep coffee cups. This Center is filling a genuine need in this community, and we look forward to growing with it.
