Last week in YouthBuild, Mrs. Desiree had our youth up on their feet doing skits—and it was powerful to watch. 🎭

Through creativity, teamwork, and a little courage, they were learning real-life skills, building confidence, and growing together through education. Moments like these are a reminder that learning doesn’t just happen at a desk—it happens when youth are engaged, supported, and encouraged to step outside their comfort zones.

So proud of this group for showing up, participating, and continuing to grow every single day. 💙✨

🛠️ Construction Crew Learning in Action! 🛠️

We love hands-on learning days like this! Our construction crew spent time sharpening their skills, asking great questions, and learning real-world techniques. A huge thank-you to Mr. Rick for coming in and sharing his knowledge and experience — these moments make a lasting impact.

They hit the court for a good, competitive basketball game! Teamwork, healthy competition, stress relief, and a whole lot of laughs—all part of building strong minds and bodies, not just careers.

These moments matter just as much as the hard work in the classroom and on the job site. 💪✨

🔨🦺 The Construction Crew is getting to work!

Our YouthBuild construction crew kicked off a new project this week, diving into hands-on learning, teamwork, and real jobsite skills. From planning to getting under cabinets and prepping the space, they’re building confidence one step at a time.

🧑‍🍳🥣 Culinary was busy in the kitchen this week!

Our culinary youth knocked it out of the park by preparing from-scratch biscuits and gravy with eggs—from start to finish. They took food orders, practiced real-world customer service, plated each dish with care, and served up some seriously good meals.

Chef Matt, Culinary Instructor, couldn’t be more proud of the hard work, teamwork, and growth shown throughout the week.

Mrs. Amanda, Director of Youth Services, was lucky enough to get the first plate—and wow, was it amazing! She couldn’t be more proud of the youth and truly enjoyed both the food and their success. Watching their confidence grow and skills come together is exactly what this program is all about. 👏
