05/23/2026
Friday was our last day for the 25/26 academic year. We had a party with all of our families to celebrate and we had to say a few goodbyes. Two of those were teens finishing up their highschool career.
KD has been with us since Sept. 2017. I have had the privilege of watching them grow from their preteens to today. Along the way, they have committed been committed to their art and intense interest in all things superheroes. I admire their unwavering convictions that inform, not only who they are but how they show up for other people. We are grateful that K has shared their joyful laughter with us. We will miss them!
Keeygan joined DRC in January 2022. Eventually, all of his siblings joined the crew, too. They have come to be known as the “Peet boys,” to everyone here. Keeygan, has known what his plan was from the moment he got here. Studying trains and steam engines has been his passion, with a year long side trip into the world of muscle cars. Keeygan is a fixture here, and come September, we will miss seeing him in his pink chair with Digby Doo on his lap. Digby, may miss his best pal the most.
The last goodbye is possibly the hardest.
Chris Raymo has been here since 2015, with a brief intermission during the pandemic, returning in November of 2022. To say that Chris has been my right-hand man is an understatement. It is hard to imagine this place without him. My heart is filled with gratitude for all he has done for me and DRC.
We wish him all the success in the world in his new venture, Melting Pot in Norwood. If you enjoy live music, check out their open mics. Chris will also be teaching guitar lessons there. He assures us that he will be back to visit occasionally to get his DRC Crew fix.
We sent our Crew off with best wishes for a beautiful summer break.
