Itzae is an extremely rare albino puma born at the Thomas Belt Zoo in Juigalpa, Nicaragua, on July 20, 2023.

She was born alongside two normally colored siblings, but Itzae’s snow-white appearance immediately made her stand out. Her name means “Gift of God” in Mayan.

Itzae is believed to be the first albino puma born in Nicaragua and only the fourth recorded albino puma in the world.

Her white fur, pale eyes, and pinkish features are caused by albinism, a genetic condition that prevents the normal production of melanin, the pigment responsible for coloration.

Because she lacks normal pigmentation, Itzae is particularly sensitive to strong sunlight and requires specialized care to protect her skin and eyes. Her lack of natural camouflage would also make survival in the wild extremely difficult.

For now, this extraordinarily rare puma continues to live under human care at the Thomas Belt Zoo in Nicaragua.

Rainbow-Colored Clouds on Mars
This image shows a real phenomenon observed by NASA’s Curiosity rover: extremely high-altitude Martian clouds displaying subtle rainbow-like colors called iridescence, also known as “mother-of-pearl” clouds. �

A thirteen-year-old girl stepped onto the Grand Ole Opry stage in 1959, bringing a guitar and a childhood spent in a Tennessee cabin without electricity.

Dolly Parton was far from home. Her uncle Bill Owens had driven her from the Smoky Mountains of Sevierville to Nashville, believing entirely in the voice she had just captured on her first record, "Puppy Love." Standing backstage at the mother church of country music, the young singer was terrified. She was a girl who grew up in stitched-together clothes alongside eleven siblings, suddenly facing the brightest lights in the industry.

Then, Johnny Cash walked up to the microphone. He introduced the young girl to the crowd, offering a quiet warmth behind the curtains that steadied her nerves. When Dolly finally walked out, she did not hide her roots. She delivered a raw, mountain-born vocal performance that immediately commanded the room.

How she navigated the immediate aftermath of that night, the grueling studio sessions that awaited her, and the quiet, decades-long friendship she built with the man who first called her name to a Nashville crowd remains the deeper chapter of her loud arrival.

From flight attendant to flying combat missions in C-130s and C-5s, and now sitting in the right seat of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner - Danielle Parton’s path to the flight deck is pure grit.

Yes, that Parton family. Danielle is the niece of country music icon Dolly Parton, but she didn't ride anyone's coattails into aviation. She built her career step-by-step, earning every single rating the hard way.

Began her aviation career as a flight attendant for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines after earning a business degree at Belmont University.

Transitioned to the U.S. Air National Guard, eventually becoming an Aircraft Commander. She flew C-130 Hercules and C-5 Galaxy transports around the globe and in combat, earning the Air Medal and Combat Action Medal along the way.

In 2014 came across on the Airbus A320 family, recently making the move to widebody long-haul flying as a Boeing 787 First Officer.

Staying true to her Tennessee roots, she also launched Shine Girl, a woman-owned moonshine distillery (complete with a signature "Dollymosa" cocktail).

Next time you hear "Parton" over the PA at 35,000 feet, you're flying with a combat aviator, entrepreneur, and world-class pilot who earned every bit of her streak. ✈️
