We recently went to fulfill a book request only to learn that the person had died in their cell not long after mailing his letter to us.
May his request for Islamic books be counted amongst his final acts and may he find it in his record of good deeds.
Ameen.
A Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate died July 12 after he was found unresponsive inside his cell at the Wainwright Unit in Lovelady, according to a custodial death report.
Justin Richard Huck, 33, received life-saving measures from TDCJ staff before EMS was called. Huck was pronounced dead by medical staff. An autopsy is pending.
Huck was serving a seven-year sentence for aggravated robbery out of Harris County. Records show he became eligible for parole in February 2026 but was denied the following month.
