Sorry to read that IHeart laid off WSDP Alum Bret Saunders. 28 years is an AMAZING run doing a morning radio show at one station. Bret was loved by many and we're proud to have him among our amazing alums. We're wishing him all the best in whatever he pursues next. "He landed his first radio job while still in high school at a 10-watt station in Michigan and earned his broadcast license two years before he got his driver’s license."

Fiona Hughes (Canton '19) stopped by today. She brought along her fiance, Ulrik. They live in Svalbard, which is between the Northern tip of Norway and the North Pole. We have lots of great memories of Fiona's time at 88.1 the Park.

88.1 the Park hosted it's annual Honors Banquet last night. We honored three Dr. Andrew Melin Distinguished Alumni Award winners. Jim Heller and Kara Dupuy McCauley were with us via video from their homes in Korea and Minnesota. Bob DeLano made the trip back to Plymouth from North Carolina. We also presented numerous student awards and scholarships, and recognized our five graduating seniors. It was a banner night.
