Canton Country Acres is a neighborhood of 171 homes in Canton Township, Wayne County, Michigan. This page will replace the association's website.

Built in 1978-79, the neighborhood lies just south of Palmer, between Morton Taylor Road and Lilley Road. It is bordered by Morton Taylor on the west, East Roundtable to the east, Lancelot Drive to the south, and Palmer Road to the north. The association's mailing address is PO Box 87201, Canton, MI 48187

The community is managed by a homeowners association, Canton Country Acres Civic Association (CCACA), and maintenance is financed by homeowners' dues. Annual dues of $150 cover from April 1 to March 31. Dues cover plowing streets, occasional salting of intersections within sub, taxes and insurance on the park, mowing of the park, ads for annual garage sale, attorney's fees (only when liens are placed or removed from properties who have not paid annual dues). Whenever there are funds available, we make upgrades to the streets, playground equipment, landscaping, etc. Most of the budget goes to snow removal and park maintenance.

Hey neighbors!

We’ve reserved a meeting room at the township building for our Fall Meeting. OCTOBER 22, 6:45 - 8:00 PM. Meeting room B. Come visit with neighbors, share concerns, and plan for future events. We’re always looking for volunteers and we would like to see an increase in participation this year.

UPDATE AS OF WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 AT 1 P.M.: Canton’s Jazz on the Trails outdoor event scheduled for tonight has been cancelled due to the weather.

Save the date for the rescheduled Jazz on the Trails on Wednesday, September 9! Enjoy live jazz buskers along the Lower Rouge Trail from 7–8 p.m. with refreshments available at the Trailhead, located off Michigan Avenue and Morton Taylor. This FREE event is made possible by the Canton Commission for Culture, Arts, and Heritage, with grant funding from the Partnership for the Arts and Humanities.

Please remind your children to treat our shared space with respect. A few adolescent boys were spotted in the playground today on motor scooters - they were observed inflicting physical damage to the equipment consisting of small knicks, chips, and scrapes (in addition to the donuts in the mulch). As a reminder - there is a gravel pump track on the trails and miles of walking and biking paths. We love to see kids outside having fun, but damaging property isn’t okay.

It’s that time of year 🇺🇸 looks like great weather on Saturday for those participating in the Liberty Run. It’s always fun seeing the participants come through the neighborhood.

If you’re interested in participating - registration is still open!

There’s still time to register for the Annual Liberty Run being held one week from today, Saturday, June 20. Canton Township and RF Events are again joining forces to host this special event. Interested participants are encouraged to register at www.cantonlibertyrun.com and run, walk, or stroll in the 5K, 10K, or One Mile events. All participants will receive finisher medals, as well as a race T-shirt. Plus, theme awards will be handed out to the best “Red, White, and Blue/America 250” running outfit!

After the run, head over to the Heritage Park North Pavilions for the 29th Annual Canton Lions Club’s Pancake Breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Stop by for a post-run breakfast and make this a Liberty Fest tradition! For more information, visit https://www.cantonmi.gov/928/Festival-Food.

It’s with great sadness we share the news regarding the loss of one of our neighbors, Nate Denlar.

Thank you to our first responders for putting out the fire and ensuring the safety of our neighbors who made it outside.

We are thankful for the safety of our neighbor Dale who has served our country and always greets neighbors with a smile and friendly attitude. I look forward to seeing his daffodil flowers bloom every spring.

Please consider practicing a home fire drill with your family.

Tick Checks

With all the beautiful weather lately, it’s great seeing so many kids, families, and pets enjoying the trails and community park! 🌳☀️

Just a friendly seasonal reminder to do a quick tick check when everyone comes back inside — especially after playing in grassy or wooded areas. No need for fear or avoiding outdoor fun, just a simple habit to help keep everyone safe and healthy.

For kids, check:
• Around the hairline and scalp
• Behind ears
• Under arms
• Around waistbands
• Behind knees
• Around socks/shoe lines

For pets, give a quick brush-through and check around ears, collars, legs, and paws.

Most tick checks only take a minute or two and are an easy part of post-play cleanup. Enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, neighbors! 😊
