Happy Mother's Day!!

The true meaning of the word MOTHER: A Mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children. Mothers work hard to equip their children with the knowledge, skills and abilities to be God-Fearing and Competent Human Beings.

A Mother serves her family in various ways, remembering that she is following in Christ's footsteps. She doesn't seek a reward or serve only when it's convenient. She understands that in serving her family, she is serving the Lord.

MSK LLC puts in the work for the community.

Today was nothing short of amazing. My MSK LLC was able to bless 200 families with suits and dresses for Easter and host an Easter egg hunt where 200 Detroit children were able to participate. Thank you to those who have helped with the event. Pictures will be posted tomorrow. Happy Easter to everyone!!

Dear St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen Volunteers,

Hello and Happy New Year to everyone supporting St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen. It has been a long journey to build the new kitchen, get the lunch meal service in place, and now, to serve lunch at our new location. If you haven’t heard, St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen is now located at The Center for the Works of Mercy, 8642 Woodward Ave., Detroit 48202.

The new St. Leo’s kitchen opened on November 15, 2022. We started serving hot lunches on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s. To this end, we have a few volunteers that help on these days, but not enough to serve efficiently. We need more volunteers during weekdays to help prepare and serve the hot meals. So this is a call for help ….. A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS TO PREPARE AND SERVE LUNCH DURING WEEKDAYS FROM 9:00 AM TO 1:30 PM.

I know that most of you and your volunteers prepared meals on Saturday’s but at this time, WE ARE NOT PREPARED TO RESTART SATURDAY LUNCH SERVICE YET. If any of your volunteers are available and would be willing to help on any weekday, we would welcome their participation. Because we are at a new location, we need to make our presence known through weekday lunch service …… and we need more volunteers on weekdays, especially on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s to do so. (Thursday’s and Friday’s also but not as much)

So please respond to this call for volunteers.
