The Nobody's Cats Foundation Dedicated to Trap Neuter Return (TNR), serving 15 counties in south central PA with various resources

Our strategies include creating a culture of ownership of free-roaming cat colonies, encouraging owner caretakers to implement bench marked TNR standards of care, and providing a high volume of spay/neuter surgeries
through a dedicated surgery clinic for free-roaming cats.

What's in a trap?

⭐️ We always line the trap with newspaper or puppy pads for 3 reasons:

1) it covers the plate so kitty doesn't find anything suspicious 😁
2) If kitty has any accidents, it goes on that and not through.
3) it's overall a little more comfortable for them (even if they do make a mess of them).

⭐️ Put the food all the way in the back so kitty is in and trap is more likely to close.

⭐️ Have a light cover on top so the kitty feels nice and safe. It feels like a cozy cave for them.

⭐️ Once you're kitty is inside we Ziptie the door shut for extra safety... traps can malfunction so better safe than sorry.

We want to be able to educate the public on why fixing your animals is so important. This week, we want to focus on Pyometra.

Pyometra is a serious, life-threatening bacterial infection of the uterus in unspayed female cats, characterized by a pus-filled uterus resulting from hormonal changes after a heat cycle.

This past week, a kitty came in with this infection, this time it was one-sided. One-sided pyometra is a rare variation of a pyometra. While a standard pyometra typically affects the entire uterus, a unilateral pyometra occurs when pus accumulates in only one of the two uterine horns, leaving the other horn structurally normal.

It was interesting medically to see this version, but in reality, we know this infection is a killer.

Spay your female pets. It could literally save their lives.
