The Members 1st Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private charitable foundation.

Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be funded according to the funding cycle found on our website. Grant requirements include the following:

- Funding requests must align with the Foundation's mission.

- The organization must be tax exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Supporting documentation in the form of the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) determination letter (IRS Letter 1045) and IRS Form W-9 must be submitted with the organization’s proposal.

- The organization must be based within the communities that Members 1st serves (Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties).

- The organization must be in good financial standing.

- The organization is non-discriminatory for any reason, including race, religion, creed, age, s*x, s*xual orientation and/or national origin.

- Exceptions to the criteria may be made in situations of large-scale crises, such as national disasters.

- Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.

❤️🧷 A pack of diapers may seem like a small thing, but for many parents, it's a source of relief during a time when every dollar matters.

Healthy Steps Diaper Bank has been providing diapers and hope to families across South Central Pennsylvania for more than a decade, helping parents facing the challenges of diaper need.

Since 2013, the organization has distributed more than 4.5 million diapers, ensuring children have access to this essential item while helping families avoid impossible choices between diapers, food, medicine and other necessities.

Our grant will support Healthy Steps' mission of giving relief and stability to local families, helping more children get the care they need to thrive.

Answer reveal: Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties housed a total of 191 adults and children (99 adults and 92 children) in its Emergency Shelter Program. 💜

DVSCP’s mission is to support survivors of domestic violence by providing critical services that promote safety, healing and hope. Through emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy and other free and confidential resources, the organization helps individuals and families navigate some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Our grant will support their Emergency Shelter Program, providing a safe haven for survivors and their children facing immediate danger.

That’s why each holiday season, American Rescue Workers-Williamsport hosts one of the largest food distributions in North Central Pennsylvania, supplying complete holiday meal boxes to nearly 800 households experiencing food insecurity.

Beacon Clinic's mission is to inspire hope, health and well-being by providing high-quality, culturally competent, free, faith-based primary healthcare to uninsured and underserved adults in the greater Harrisburg area.

In 2025, Beacon Clinic served 300 patients during 1,746 visits and provided 5,669 prescriptions.

Our grant will assist Beacon Clinic's Diagnostic Testing Program, which helps patients access critical laboratory and imaging services that support early diagnosis, chronic disease management and ongoing treatment.

The Cay Galgon Life House provides pregnant women and new mothers experiencing homelessness with more than just temporary shelter.

Serving up to seven mothers and their babies at one time, the program gives each family a private furnished room, offers personalized goal planning and access to the practical resources needed to move forward.

Our Foundation’s grant will help further the organization’s mission of providing the stability, support and education to these mothers for their futures.

🌟 Every child deserves the opportunity to shine.

All In Theatre is dedicated to creating an inclusive space where young people of all backgrounds and abilities can explore the world of musical theatre.

Our grant supports their fall class, Intro to Improv, where students will learn improvisation and comedy skills through fun, interactive lessons led by theatre professionals and supported by special education and healthcare experts.
