On October 4, you can relive a little of that magic as we recreate one of the most quintessential back-to-school traditions: the club fair!

With 50+ participating orgs, the Somerville Connection Expo Arts at the Armory is the place to discover your next hobby, volunteer opportunity, or community connection.

Acropolis Boston will be there, bringing a little philosophical flair and repping Porter Square alongside our dedicated team of volunteers.

69 years. Thousands of stories. One shared ideal.

Since 1957, New Acropolis has brought together people from different cultures, languages, and countries around a shared conviction: that human beings can transform themselves and, in doing so, help transform the world.

Over these 69 years, we have learned, taught, served, built friendships, and shared countless experiences that continue to bear fruit wherever we are present.

Today, we celebrate not only an anniversary, but an international community of people who continue to grow, study, serve, and bring philosophy into everyday life.

Thank you to everyone who is part of this story.

Happy 69th Anniversary, New Acropolis! 🎉🌍💚

Stop scrolling. Start noticing.

In a world of constant notifications, endless multitasking, and information overload, staying present can feel like a challenge. But what if focus isn't simply about trying harder?

Join New Acropolis Boston for an interactive workshop on 7/23 exploring the nature of attention—how it becomes fragmented, how it can be strengthened, and how cultivating mindfulness can help us engage more fully with ourselves and the world around us.

Together, we'll explore:
🧠 How attention actually works—and why it keeps slipping away
🌿 Why "trying harder" isn't the answer to distraction
✨ Practical ways to cultivate steadier focus in everyday life
🧘 A guided meditation to experience sustained attention in real time

Whether you're new to mindfulness or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop offers practical tools to help you work with your mind instead of against it.

The wind may have shaken our tent, but it certainly didn't shake our spirit!

The International Day of the Arts, or "Art Day," is an annual initiative born from the conviction that art has the power to touch the highest dimensions of the human being, awakening sensitivity, creativity, and a sense of unity.

To celebrate this annual initiative, New Acropolis Boston gathered at Revere Beach, where the beauty of the ocean served as inspiration for an afternoon of artistic expression and community.

The celebration began with a Sun Salutation dance performance, followed by a group drum circle, our own invocation to the Muses, and plenty of thoughtful dialogue, shared laughter, and summer smiles.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the power of art to bring people together and inspire a more beautiful world.

What happens after insight?

Writing can help us uncover patterns, contradictions, and moments of clarity. But what comes next?

Join New Acropolis Boston tomorrow, June 25 from 7–9 PM for the next iteration of our "Writing to Know Thyself" workshop, where we'll explore how writing can move beyond self-discovery and become a tool for transformation.

Drawing inspiration from Stoicism and classical Greek philosophy, we'll examine how reflection can lead to greater alignment, courage, and intentional action.

Through guided prompts, discussion, and quiet writing time, you'll explore:

✍️ What your past experiences are asking of you now

✍️ Where you may be out of alignment with yourself

✍️ How writing can help you move from insight to action

Whether you're joining for the first time or returning from our previous workshop, this session stands on its own. No prior writing experience is needed.

📅 June 25
📍2000 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite #3 (2nd Floor)
🕖 7:00–9:00 PM
💵 $5

The ancient call to "Know Thyself" was never meant to end with awareness alone—it was meant to shape how we live.

Come write, reflect, and take one step closer to a more intentional self.
