4-H Seniors and graduates! Don't miss out on these THREE scholarship opportunities.
The Boone County 4-H Council selects 5 award recipients every year
โข Must submit their application by October 1, 2026
โข Applicant must be a current or former Boone County 4-H member, actively involved for the past four consecutive program years in project work, events, and/or activities. Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, licensed trade, or vocational school.
The Freda Carlin Scholarship is also currently accepting applicants:
โข Must submit their application by October 1, 2026
โข The scholarship may be used for full-time or part-time students, selected to attend any college or accredited higher education undergraduate program in Kentucky (i.e., university, college, trade, or technical school). This scholarship is designated for tuition.
โข Individuals under the age of 24 years are encouraged to apply.
โข The scholarship recipient is selected based on good character, community engagement, and their focus on volunteer activities. A background with youth development programs (4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.) will be considered.
Kentucky Association Fairs & Horse Shows Scholarship:
โข Boone County youth must submit their application to Cathy Fellows by Wednesday, September 16, 2026, 4:30 PM.
โข Open to any youth that has participated in and has been an active volunteer at your local fair for several years but at least one year.
โข Qualified youth shall be a senior in high school or enrolled in a post-secondary program of studies (college, trade school or military) but not having reached their 21st birthday by October 1st of the applying year.
