The Northern Kentucky Herb Society (NKHS) was established as a non-profit educational forum in 2004.

On paper, our goal is to expand the interest in herbs throughout the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area.

The end of the gardening season means I save what I can to get me through the winter. Tonight I’m dehydrating thyme. After a wash and quick spin in the salad spinner, I load the trays and they will be dry by morning. This old school dehydrator was my grandfathers, almost 50 years old. I will upgrade when it dies. For now, I love the memories it brings each time I use it. How are you saving your herbs to use this winter?

Yesterday, the Herbies learned how to arrange dried pressed flowers into frames from a professional flower preserver! Such a fun activity!

The Herbies had a lovely farm to table lunch today and garden tour at a members home! We are a fun, friendly group with a shared love of herbs and gardening in general! Would you like to join us? We’re always happy to have new friends! Please reach out so we can welcome you!
