Hello Friends,
We have a few outstanding updates for our CF Hoops For Hope event. Chipotle and Snappy Tomato Pizza have both stepped up this year in offering a larger sponsorship with focusing on prizes for not only just for the champions but also for each team, and each volunteer registered to be a part of the event. The second announcment is that we will be expanding our event to include 5th/6th, 7th/8th, 9th/10th, 11th/12th and 18+ divisions. This means that we are looking at hosting and estimated 1068 kids/adults for our two day event. With that knowledge we are going to be extremely stretched with volunteer staff and event leaders, I will be looking to each of you for your leadership in the roles you have championed for us throughout the previous 3 years.
The path to our continued growth is the support of our volunteer staff. We have a very unique opportunity being provided to us in order to raise some start up funding for our event. On Saturday January 14th 2012 we have scheduled our team to work consessions at a Xavier mens college basketball game. We are in need of 21 volunteers for this event, and it will require approximately 5 hours of each volunteers time to be onsite at Xavier during the event.
Directions will be provided and we hope to car pool with as many team members as possible. Two important details with working the Xavier consessions are that you must be 21 years of age or older, and if you commit to volunteer for the event you cannot backout at a later date. Xavier staffs by using the honor system and they will not allow our group back if we have volunteers back out and we do not staff as promised. As stated this is a huge opportunity for our team, and I would love for us to have a chance to continue this opportunity each year.
Please call, text or email me if you or your dedicated friends are looking to help out!
