Happy Pride Month! 🌈🥳

We’re kicking off June by returning to where it all started.

Our June QFC Community Night is headed back to Idle Hour, the first place where our community came together as an official nonprofit. As we celebrate Pride Month, it feels like the perfect time to gather in a space that has been part of our journey from the beginning.

Whether you’re a filmmaker, actor, writer, crew member, film lover, or just looking to meet other LGBTQ+ creatives, this is a space to connect, build community, and make new friends.

We’ll be celebrating Pride, catching up with familiar faces, and welcoming new ones into the community.

Filmmaker Spotlight: Matthew Allen

Matthew is a director, editor, and producer whose work is driven by feeling, collaboration, and a commitment to showing the full spectrum of q***r life on screen.

With experience at Parkwood Entertainment, Mathematic VFX, and Gunpowder & Sky, and expert training from USC’s Film Production program, Matthew has built a creative career rooted in music, visuals, and storytelling that actually connects.

His approach is simple: no as****es, take risks, and work with people who aren’t afraid to step outside their comfort zone.

Right now, Matthew is in production on his latest short Petrichor (Hey, Handsome), which is currently crowdfunding ahead of its April shoot. If you want to support a filmmaker who is creating intentional, community-driven work, then Matthew is a great place to start.
