Captain Bill of The Salvation Army couldn’t have said it better.
On Wednesday, Leadership Burbank’s Class of 2026 celebrated the culmination of New Day Laundry, presenting a mobile laundry trailer to The Salvation Army’s Burbank SAFE location.
Once outfitted with washers and dryers, the trailer will work alongside the mobile showers already in place, giving neighbors in need the opportunity to not only take a shower, but put on freshly washed clothes afterward. It’s something many of us may take for granted, but it can provide dignity, comfort and, as the project’s name so beautifully says, the feeling of a new day.
It was a joyful and moving moment for this class of leaders to see their hard work become something real—and for the community that supported them to celebrate what they made possible together.
Congratulations to Leadership Burbank’s Class of 2026 on creating something that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors and in the Burbank community. 💙
