The Endangered History Project, Inc.

The Endangered History Project, Inc. will vanish in the wind. There are no paid board members or employees. However there are dozens of people who want to do their part to preserve threatened media.

If we don't preserve the various forms of media that represent the 20th and 21st Centuries, these important memories, photos, films, videos, documents, diaries, etc. Just about everybody has or knows of photographs, films, videos, documents, manuscripts, diaries or other forms of media that will vanish when the owners pass away. The Endangered History Project, Inc., exists to encourage and train anyone who is inspired to make media available for future generations.

I’ve often been critical of U.S. foreign policy.
This time, however, I’m ashamed to be an American!
I thought we stood up for the oppressed around the world.
I was wrong.

My wonderful friend Jasmine Sandhawalia wrote this eye-opening story.
This message is for her:

“Jasmine, you were my student so many years ago. I’m proud to have been your investigative journalism teacher. All these years later, you are teaching me about an historical tragedy about which I had known so little.

“And all of these years later, I’m more embarrassed that, only recently, I’ve come to learn how poisonous colonialism has been to so many millions of people.

We Americans are so tragically and embarrassingly ignorant!”

Your input please -- this is important to me.

I need help deciding on the title of the book I'm writing. Your input is important.

The book is about a character I'll call Lassiter for now. He arrives on the scene and appears to be the answer to all of our main character's problems. Lassiter gives her hope -- he lights a fire under her and sends her on what appears to be a path to the future.

Whether he is an actual panacea is the recurring theme. Along the way, Lassiter's existence and presence affects others as well.

I don't want the title to give away the final outcome.

Here are three titles I'm considering:

1. "The Lure of Lassiter"

2. "Lassiter to the Rescue"

3. "Leave it to Lassiter."

Please select the one that you believe best works. Also, I'm open to other suggestions, as long as the title is comprised of five words or less.

Believe it or not, the book will be finished by the first of October.

If you already know who "Lassiter" really is, please don't let anyone know.

Thanks.

Prices on EVERYTHING are rising despite a strong economy.
Everything trickles UP to the wealthy. George Carlin was right‼️

Here's why, no matter how alone I may be, I can stay busy doing what others would be correct in saying is a waste of time.

OK, in going through boxes of junk I must disposed of, I find a postcard written more than 70 years ago.

Junk? No, this is an "adventure opportunity."

You might see a photo of a tourists' Dude Ranch. Me? I imagine Herman J. Mankiewicz locking himself in one of the guest cabins while he pecks away at the script for "Citizen Kane."

And I wonder what became of Mrs. Kate Pierce Taylor in Mississippi who received this card from May or Kay. A friend, neighbor, or relative maybe?

Here's the difference between me and all my neuro-typical friends -- in the wee hours of the morning when my speeding brain will not allow me to go to sleep, I'll take my own "expedition through time" and find some of the answers maybe.

I know what you're going to say, but this is the freak of nature I turned out to be.

This has "Don Ray" written all over it.

I don't even remember making this video promotion 21 years ago.

Not surprising that the book it's promoting still remains unwritten.
It's the story of my stupid life.

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be if I grow up.
I'm glad I didn't take any "advance" money from anyone.

But I'm still hoping to use the audio we collected as part of a podcast (hint, it involves time travel).

We still haven't completed the book, but plans are in the works for a possible podcast. In 1978, Don Ray and William S. Thomas organized a reunion of the sur...
