Greetings 602 Members,

It’s that time of year again! Our Annual Holiday Event and Membership Meeting is right around the corner, and this is one celebration you don’t want to miss.

The Membership Meeting will be an informational session where all members will take part in staying updated on important information and announcements.

This year’s event will once again be held at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel Casino, the perfect setting for an event filled with great food, music, and prizes. We’re bringing back all the favorites including an extensive dinner menu, DJ, photobooth, and much more to make this a night to remember.

In addition, all members will receive a gift card upon entry and can enter to win one of ten grand prizes, with giveaways topping last year’s prizes. We have initially blocked 30 hotel rooms for CSEA at Batavia Downs for members, available on a first come, first serve basis. To book your room, call (585)-815-7000 and use the code CSEA602.

Good afternoon Brothers and Sisters,

At this time, I’m reaching out to all of our CSEA Brothers and Sisters regarding our brother, BRIAN CARR. Brian is in dire need of a liver transplant. He is a 15-year plus employee and is currently a Maintenance Supervisor 1 in the Campus Living Department on North Campus. He is in need of O blood type which means he can accept O+ or O- blood type for his liver transplant. Are you O blood type? You might be able to help save our brother’s life!

Please spread the word to help Brian find a donor, as soon as possible, to give him a chance at a longer life. This is a very serious and life threatening situation for Brian. He has reached out to us, his union family, and we will not turn our back on our fellow member. We are hoping to find someone that could possibly be a match or perhaps you know someone who can help Brian with his medical condition to save his life.

We, as a union, are reaching out to you today to save one of our brother’s life. That's what CSEA is really all about by helping our Brothers and Sisters in the time of need. We fight every day for our bargaining rights, but supporting each other shows how we can come together in the time of need for one another.

Brian has requested that you contact our local union office if you, or anyone you know, can possibly assist him in his quest to find a donor.
