As of this evening, IATSE Local 10 has a signed and fully executed 4-year agreement with KeyBank Arena.

This victory belongs to many people — and they deserve to be named.

To WNY AFL-CIO President Denise Abbott and Field Coordinator Austin Morgan: two of the hardest working people in labor — and now apparently, show business as well. We would not be here without you.

To Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, NYS Senator April Baskin, NYS Assembly Member Jon Rivera, and Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan, and your outstanding teams — thank you for standing with working people when it matters most.

And to the entire WNY Labor family: So many of you reached out that we are forever grateful. We may be one of the smallest locals in the group, but today — we feel “UUUGE Buffalo.”

Now let’s enjoy some playoff hockey for the first time in 15 years.

The employer has reached out and requested a meeting. In good faith, we have agreed and are postponing today’s informational picket.

After that meeting, we will reassess our options and report back.
We appreciate the support from the community and our union kin.

Update 4/19 from IATSE Local 10: Tonight's (4/19) planned informational picket outside of KeyBank Center has been POSTPONED. Hundreds(!!!) of you were ready to stand up for these workers, and your solidarity forced management to agree to a meeting with union leaders on Monday. More soon!

The UB College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Theatrical Head Carpenter/Rigger and Scene Shop Manager to work closely with the Center for the Arts (CFA) and Department of Theatre and Dance. In this critical role you will execute technical and safety aspects of performances and events. This position focuses on day-of-show rigging, fly operation duties, and leading crews, including touring production personnel, to ensure production work is performed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
