When was the last time you spent a full day without a screen, just outside?
This October, Dr. Dorothy Ibes leads Nurture with Nature: An Immersive Ecotherapy Weekend at Yogaville (Oct 9–11, 2026). Dr. Ibes is a Professor of Environment & Sustainability at William & Mary and director of the Parks & Ecotherapy Research Lab, with close to two decades of experience guiding people back into relationship with the land.
The weekend mixes guided practice and open time: Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), mindfulness walks, eco-art, journaling, and group sharing, along with some of the grief and gratitude work from Joanna Macy's "The Work That Reconnects." Past participants have said it changed how they see the outdoors entirely, not as a backdrop but as something reciprocal.
The program is all-inclusive: tuition, meals, and lodging. Financial aid and equity discounts are available first come, first served.
