When was the last time you spent a full day without a screen, just outside?

This October, Dr. Dorothy Ibes leads Nurture with Nature: An Immersive Ecotherapy Weekend at Yogaville (Oct 9–11, 2026). Dr. Ibes is a Professor of Environment & Sustainability at William & Mary and director of the Parks & Ecotherapy Research Lab, with close to two decades of experience guiding people back into relationship with the land.

The weekend mixes guided practice and open time: Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), mindfulness walks, eco-art, journaling, and group sharing, along with some of the grief and gratitude work from Joanna Macy's "The Work That Reconnects." Past participants have said it changed how they see the outdoors entirely, not as a backdrop but as something reciprocal.

The program is all-inclusive: tuition, meals, and lodging. Financial aid and equity discounts are available first come, first served.

There's a difference between resting because you collapsed and resting because you practiced.

This October, Master Shahar Kovetz and Michael Anthony, LCSW, are leading a retreat at Yogaville built around that idea: Awaken the Power Within: Qigong & Tai Chi for Harmony with Nature and Self, Oct 1 to 4, 2026. Expect sunrise standing meditation, Tai Chi and Qigong forms, and work with the five elements, aimed at giving you tools you can actually use once you're home.

The program is all-inclusive: tuition, classes, and meals, with lodging included. All levels are welcome. Scholarships are available first come, first served. Call the Ashram Reservations Center at 434-969-2048 or email [email protected].

Registration link is in the comments and bio.

Your chakras map the potential you haven't tapped, and the spots where relationships tend to get stuck.

This September, join Gary Kraftsow, founder of the American Viniyoga Institute, at Yogaville for Ta**ra: Cakra Sadhana and the Yoga of Interpersonal Relationship (Sept 24–27, 2026). We'll work through each chakra with the Laya Yoga practices of Bhūta Śuddhi and Cakra Sādhana, through presentation, discussion, and integrated practice in asana, pranayama, mantra japa, and meditation.

The program is all-inclusive: tuition, all classes, and meals, with complimentary accommodations. Yoga teachers can earn 20 hours of continuing education credit. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis, no application needed. Call the Ashram Reservations Center at 434-969-2048.

Swan Michelle has been leading Sound Baths since 2012. After spending time at Yogaville last week she called it "one of my heavens." We thought that was worth saying upfront.

September 11-13, she's here for Journey Into Sound -- a weekend retreat that's part healing experience, part hands-on training. You'll receive deep Sound Baths, guided somatic meditations, and time actually working with the instruments: harmonium, vocal training in the Sargam scale, and an introduction to the neuroscience of how sound affects the body and nervous system.

It all happens on campus, which means the LOTUS Shrine, daily yoga, kirtan, satsang, and food that people keep mentioning unprompted.

Here's what people say about Swan's work:

"Whether I am tired or amped, balanced or out of whack, I know I can just hit pause on the outside world at her sound bath. The sounds override all the thinking and worrying and planning inside my head." -- Denise Gass

"Her 20+ years of experience shine through in her teachings, blending knowledge with a heartfelt approach that makes the practice truly transformative." -- Caroline Hughes

$775 all-inclusive. Tuition, all classes, and meals are covered. Accommodations are complimentary. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no written application -- call 434-969-2048 or email [email protected] to ask.

Is your core actually supporting you? 🌿

Real core stability isn't about six-pack abs or pushing through heavy workouts. It starts much deeper, down at the pelvic floor. When that foundation is out of alignment, it often shows up as persistent pelvic pain, core weakness, or more.

Pelvic floor Yoga specialist Leslie Howard (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT) is coming to Yogaville for a dedicated weekend retreat: The Empowered Pelvis.

Whether you are looking to heal your own body or teach movement with more precision, this weekend gives you clear, evidence-based practices to assess, access, and restore your deep core.

Retreat details:
• Dates: September 18-20, 2026
• Location: 👉 Yogaville, Buckingham, VA, USA!
• Methodology: Backed by two clinical studies conducted with UCSF
• Education: Includes 7 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours
• Hospitality: Accommodations and vegetarian meals included
• Price: 795

Take a weekend to slow down and rebuild your foundation from the inside out.

This year, the Light of Truth Universal Shrine — the LOTUS — turns 40. And we’d love for you to celebrate with us.

Built to honor the truth at the heart of every faith, the LOTUS has welcomed thousands of pilgrims across four decades, each one drawn by the same deep peace that radiates from within its walls. Its message is as needed today as ever: Truth is One, Paths are Many.

From September 4–6, 2026, we gather at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville for a weekend of interfaith unity and world peace — three days of celebration, reflection, and togetherness:

🪷 The Light of Truth Universal Service, honoring all faiths
🪷 Heartfelt sharings from world faith and nature-based traditions
🪷 Evening offerings of music and dance
🪷 Meditation within the LOTUS upper sanctuary
🪷 The story of how this extraordinary shrine came to be

Whether you’ve made the pilgrimage many times or have always meant to visit, this is a homecoming — a chance to stand together in the light and reaffirm what unites us all.

September 4–6, 2026 at Yogaville

What if you could influence your brain’s future?

Research suggests that up to 40% of Alzheimer’s cases may be linked to lifestyle factors — the everyday choices we actually have some say over. 40%. That’s a remarkable number, and it’s the heart of a weekend coming to Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville this August.

Clarity of Mind: Essentials for Brain Longevity is led by Jane Stelboum, a Certified Brain Longevity® Specialist through the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation. Over one weekend, she’ll walk through the research on cognitive health and the practices that support it:

🧠 The lifestyle pillars linked to brain health — nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress
🧠 How breath and gentle movement support a healthy mind
🧠 A multi-sensory meditation studied for its effects on memory and focus
🧠 Simple shifts you can carry home

This weekend is for anyone who wants to live with more clarity and presence — for yourself, for a loved one in your care, or for the people you serve in health and wellness.

When was the last time you felt true quiet — not just the absence of noise, but the kind of stillness that lets your mind finally rest?

For most of us, it’s been a while. The phone buzzes. The calendar fills. There’s always something to answer, plan, or rush toward.

Now imagine an entire weekend where you don’t have to answer to anyone. No phone. No plans. No rushing. Just your own two feet, a quiet trail, and the unhurried rhythm of the forest.

This August, The Land of Yogaville: A Silent Hiking Retreat invites you to step off the grid and into the woods at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville. Led by Avi Gordon — Director of the Integral Yoga® Teachers Association and host of the Integral Yoga Podcast — this is a weekend of silent hikes through the Ashram’s wooded trails, balanced with gentle Yoga, shared meals, and meaningful connection when the silence lifts.

Over three days, you’ll experience:

🌲 Silent hikes that deepen mindfulness and attune you to nature’s rhythms
🌲 A true digital detox — free from phones and screens — to restore mental calm
🌲 Gentle Yoga to open and rejuvenate the body
🌲 Mindful group connection and conversation to close the weekend
🌲 The simple peace of unplugging in one of Virginia’s most tranquil landscapes

You’ll walk away with a deeply quieted mind, a rejuvenated body, and a genuine sense of inner peace. Hikers and mindfulness practitioners of all levels are welcome.
