Preservation Buckingham At a time when some are erasing their own history, we are making great efforts to save and preserve ours.

Preservation Buckingham is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization of concerned individuals who not only restored their own historic properties, but also others in the county. The organization was founded in 2021 by like-minded individuals who recognize a desperate need to save and preserve historic buildings and sites in Buckingham County, Virginia. We believe that despite the lengthy history of our

county, it has been one of the most overlooked. Through grants and generous donations, we hope to stop the loss of endangered properties throughout this Virginia county.

The files of all the Buckingham homes, churches and cemeteries that I compiled from 2022-2025 are available at the Adams Museum across from the court house. I would estimate it includes 80+ percent of all pre-Civil War homes and home sites in the county. Thanks.
