DATE CHANGE FOR APRIL MEETING
In an effort to not conflict with Easter weekend it has been decided to change the meeting date. This also required a venue change as well. The meeting will now be April 12th at the Agricultural Service Center Extension Facility located at 13354 West James Anderson Hwy In Dillwyn.
Doors will be open by about 8:30 and meeting at 10:00 as usual. We hope to see you all there !

Went down on claim 1 to the car wash. Cleared quite a few trees including a large bunch on car wash road. There is a large muddy wash out as you get to the bottom third of car wash road that will be delt with as the roads dry out. Over all the road to car wash is now passable.

Good afternoon everyone. After meeting with the board of directors and the club officers today, it has been decided that the dues for 2025 will be $120. This is a 20% increase and is the only logical decision considering our cost for property leases will have gone up 25% since the 2023 season. This includes 2 new properties, and an expected 5% overall rate hike for the 2025 lease contract. As always, we strive to provide you with the best club experience while at the same time providing the best possible value for our members. We look forward to seeing everyone in February as we kick off the new season !

Heads up to everyone getting ready to pay their dues for the year. Please watch for an announcement next week before paying any dues. There will most likely be a small increase in the cost this year due to increased costs of property leases. The increased amount has not been set yet because it will require a vote of all offices and board members. We will strive to keep it as low as possible. I don't want to make any guarantees here right now but I would think it will not go up by more then 20 or 25 dollars. Thank you all for your understanding and support.

Just a note to all members : our first meeting of the year will be the 15th of February. Officers and Board Members will have their annual planning meeting this Saturday, but it is a closed meeting and not open to general membership. We look forward to seeing everyone in February as we kick off another year.

1) ITS CALLING FOR RAIN, BUT THIS WILL BE A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.

2) 5 MILE AN HOUR UP THE ROAD TO THE CLAIM.
THIS MEANS NO DUST !! RESPECT THE HOMES ALONG THE ENTRANCE !

3) NO LOUD RADIOS ON THE ROAD COMING INTO THE CLAIM... AGIAN, RESPECT !!

Saturday, May 4th, 2024
Claim # 2 from 9am - 4pm
** This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT **

* Various demonstrations will go on throughout the day
* A designated “Swap Meet” area will be available
* There will be transportation to/from the creek demonstration area
* Camping and ATV/UTVs are encouraged
* Non-Members are welcome (accompanied by an existing Member), but will be required to pay a $ 10 Visitor fee & sign the waiver
* New Member Applications & payments (cash, check, credit card) will be accepted
* CVGP & Prospecting merchandise will be available for purchase (cash, check, credit card)
* Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided
* Door prizes will be awarded during “lunch break”
