As comes to a close, we're lifting up the powerful words of Hāwane Rios who accepted a Woman of Vision Award on behalf of her mother, Pua Case.

Pua, as Lead Coordinator and Project Director of grantee partner Mauna Kea Education and Awareness, has made protecting Mauna Kea and preserving Hawai'i's Indigenous culture through education and advocacy her life's work.

We are proud to support and celebrate the work of leaders like Pua and Hāwane who continue to fight for Native Hawaiians' land, culture, and sovereignty.

Continuing , guided by civil rights leader and trans activist Cecilia Chung.

Progress comes with collective action — when we work together, we achieve more than any one person ever could alone.

Patti Russo is the inaugural recipient of the Teresa C. Younger Award! We were so thrilled to honor her at our recent gala with this new award, which recognizes leaders whose most enduring legacy is the leadership they cultivate in others — a core tenet of both Teresa and Patti's leadership. We're proud to recognize trailblazers like Patti, who continues to center and uplift women and girls in Connecticut and across the nation.

What 👏 a 👏 night! 👏

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Women of Vision Awards! It was an evening full of power, purpose, and pure celebration, and marked a meaningful moment as we marked Teresa C. Younger’s final gala as President & CEO after 13 years of extraordinary leadership.

We also had the honor of celebrating some truly remarkable women and organizations who are advancing gender equity and justice every day. This inspiring group of grantee partners and feminist leaders included Tarana Burke, Pua Case, Girl Scouts of the USA, Fatima Goss Graves, Blair Imani, and Patricia Russo. Congratulations again to all of this year’s honorees!

ICYMI: We announced that Tracy Sturdivant will be Ms. Foundation for Women’s next President & CEO, beginning a new chapter for the organization.

We’re grateful for this community and all who make this work possible.

This evening, at our Women of Vision Awards in New York City, we celebrated a powerful moment of transition and possibility—announcing that Tracy Sturdivant will become the 10th President & CEO of Ms. Foundation for Women.

Tracy is a movement strategist, a widely respected leader, and a dynamic force with decades of experience at the intersection of culture, democracy, and philanthropy. Her work has sparked national conversations and driven real impact around gender equity and civic participation, in communities across the country. She is the right choice to steward Ms. Foundation’s next chapter.

We also move forward with profound gratitude for Teresa C. Younger, whose 13 years of bold, transformative leadership not only strengthened the Foundation, but expanded what’s possible for our work. Because of her visionary stewardship, we enter this next chapter with a clarity, momentum, and strong foundation to build upon.

We mark this transition clear in our purpose and firmly grounded in our mission: to build power with women and girls and investing in those closest to the solutions.

Read a message from Board Chair Charline Gipson about this transition and what’s ahead on our blog: https://forwomen.org/blog/a-new-era-announcing-tracy-sturdivant-as-the-next-president-ceo-of-ms-foundation-for-women/
