Thank you, Speaker Julie Menin and the New York City Council, for investing $200,000 to help small shops protect their storefronts.
Through this initiative, each of the five borough chambers of commerce will distribute $40,000 to help ground-floor retailers with 50 or fewer employees buy and install alarms, panic buttons and other security technology. Priority goes to businesses outside business improvement districts, in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, and to minority- and women-owned businesses.
Applications aren’t open yet. Sign up at storefrontsecurity.nyc to be notified when applications open in your borough.
Delivered by the Five Borough Chamber Alliance: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island Chambers of Commerce.
