Meals on Wheels of Brevard, NC Serving homebound seniors in Brevard and Transylvania County since 1978

Meals on Wheels of Brevard has been delivering meals since 1978, helping people maintain their independence and stay in their own homes. All meals are prepared at The Transylvania Regional Hospital under the supervision of a registered dietitian. Meals are low in fat and sodium, satisfy one-third of the day's nutritional requirements, and meet standards for cardiac and diabetic nutrition. Fees are arranged on a sliding scale, and inability to pay will not disqualify anyone from receiving meals.

As we welcome a new month filled with sunshine, smiles, and summer beginnings, we're grateful for the opportunity to deliver more than just meals - we deliver connection, care, and hope to our neighbors. 💙

Once again, thank you to all who came out to support us at this year's Music for Meals fundraising event. It's our biggest event of the year. But the work to raise funds is not over! Our efforts to provide warm meals to our homebound neighbors continues.

Our hearts are FULL!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all of you who showed up, told your friends, donated, sponsored, and supported our Music for Meals fundraising event this year. It was a hit and we had such a blast! It's thanks to all of YOU that we continue to provide warm meals and connection to our homebound neighbors.

We’re honored to feature these stunning, handcrafted pieces generously donated by Keri Duff Zink for Meals on Wheels of Brevard’s Music for Meals fundraiser.

Each piece reflects Keri’s unique approach to metalsmithing -where raw materials are cut, bent, and formed into sculpture that embodies both structure and motion. Drawing from her background in architecture, her wearable art weaves together proportion, connectivity, and linearity, resulting in designs that feel both grounded and dynamic.

Inspired by the natural world - fractals, organic structures, and the intricate patterns we encounter every day - her work carries a quiet complexity. Natural stones and textured metals bring balance and depth, making each piece truly one of a kind.

Keri creates from a deeply personal space - her studio within her mother’s pottery workshop - where generations of creativity and memory continue to shape her process. That influence lives in every piece she makes. 💛
