Register NOW @ https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=12867 Frequent Flyers® Aerial Dance is a non-profit founded in 1988 by Artistic Director, Nancy Smith. We celebrate our 35th year in 2023. Our organization has a robust education program encompassing community classes for ages 5 and up, summer camp and intensives, a student company, outreach programming for at-risk youth, pre-

professional training for teens and adults, and a 9-month Professional Training Program. We have taught over 21,000 students the joy of dancing in the air. The Professional Performing Company has won many awards and accolades, including a resounding success at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Over 205,000 audience members have experienced the beauty and strength of our performances. Frequent Flyers® also created the first international Aerial Dance Festival, celebrating its 25th year in 2023. Our dedicated facility has two large studios with 23′ ceilings and more than 4,500 sq.ft. of training and rehearsal space. Frequent Flyers is considered the flagship aerial dance organization in the world. Frequent Flyers® mission is to create and promote the magic of aerial dance through performance and education. Our vision is to help all people to see the world from a new perspective through experiencing the upside-down realm of aerial dance. We believe this expanded consciousness helps everyone to maximize their creative potential, which in turn provides the fertile ground for these problem-solvers to address issues, create new opportunities and solve problems in our community and beyond. What are our students saying? "The teachers at FFP create, each class, an atmosphere that is incredibly positive and empowering for every student... they get to know each of us so they can help support, challenge, and inspire at a level that is appropriate so that I can feel successful each time I grow strong, fly higher and face any fears." - Yuen-Ying Carpenter (Adult Student)

"FFP is such a welcoming place. I feel like I can express myself through dance without being judged or criticized." "I really really want to come back!" - Katelyn Haid (Youth Student)

Low-Low Flying Trapeze + Skinner Releasing Technique
5:30-7pm daily
Working on single-point trapezes with the bar only 3 feet from the ground, we will research, explore, and learn how to work with the flow between the floor and the air. We’ll create new pathways into and out of the trapeze, using known vocabulary, and movement invention. We’ll drop into deep somatic awareness using Skinner Releasing Technique tools to help unlock creativity and ease in the body.

Nancy Smith originally wanted to be an astronaut or a racecar driver and instead she became the founder & artistic director of Frequent Flyers® Productions since its inception in 1988 and the Aerial Dance Festival since 1999. She teaches Aerial Release Technique (A.R.T.) around the US.
