Happy Birthday, U.S. Coast Guard!

For 236 years, Semper Paratus hasn't just been a motto, it's been a promise kept on every coast, every port, and every waterway across our nation. As one of the sea services the Navy League exists to support, the Coast Guard has stood the watch through storms, rescues, and long hours most of us never see.

The Navy League salutes every Coast Guardsman, active duty, reserve, auxiliary, and civilian, who carries that promise forward. Thank you for your service.

On Thursday, May 21, we held our annual Gala meeting. Colonel Matthew Zummo, the Commanding Officer of the NROTC unit at the University of Colorado was our guest speaker. We also welcomed the Class of 2030 appointees to the Naval, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine Academies as well as the local area NROTC scholarship recipients. Colonel Zummo gave us an in-depth view of the NROTC program at the University of Colorado, educating the next generation of Navy and Marine Corps leaders.
