Fields Corner Main Street Supporting local businesses on Dorchester Avenue between Freeport Street and Melville Avenue/Parkman Street Enjoy a pint at a traditional Irish pub.

Fields Corner Main Street works to enhance the lively Fields Corner scene. Focused around the major intersection of Adams Street and Dorchester Avenue, Fields Corner is home to a diverse community of Vietnamese, African-American, Caribbean, Irish and Latino businesses and residents. The area has Boston's largest variety of restaurants serving delicious bowls of "pho" soup, plus the largest concentration of Asian services and goods- jade, silk dresses, bubble tea and Vietnamese groceries-outside of Chinatown. Select fresh vegetables and fruit at two Farmers' Markets during the summer. After work nibble on contemporary cuisine at a trendy restaurant. Pick up a late-night snack at a pizza shop. We have local attorneys, accountants, insurance agencies, travel agencies, tax advisors, real estate brokers, automotive shops and hair stylists. Fields Corner also has three banks, a post office, a public library branch, a community health center (with pool!), a senior center and two high schools. Take the T to a renovated Fields Corner Ashmont Red Line Station, walk, bike, or drive and park in a free municipal lot to run your errands locally!

We are so proud of our volunteers of the year at Dorchester Community Fridge!

They’ve been feeding hundreds of people weekly for 6 years now!

Meet Dorchester Community Fridge, Volunteers of the Year for Fields Corner Main Street! ✨

Dorchester Community Fridge has been distributing food to families and individuals without any barrier to entry for six years now. Their dedication to Fields Corner has been consistent. With them able to find a core group of volunteers who train, and maintain standards of cleanliness and ensure that the fridge is consistently stocked, DCF again increased their mission's goals with a Saturday food distribution. Every week they distribute over 80,000 pounds of food. Bravo!

Join us on Monday, October 26 at the third annual Boston Main Streets Foundation's Awards Celebration to celebrate the Dorchester Community Fridge team of volunteers and the rest of this year's award recipients.

Thank you UMass Boston Alumni for sharing the great news about Brian Joel Chavez winning Business of the Year for his consistently outstanding work Antonio's Pizzeria. We are so lucky to have him in Fields Corner.

This , we’re celebrating Brian Chavez ’14, owner of Antonio's Pizzeria in Dorchester, which was recently named Business of the Year by Fields Corner Main Street.

Brian took over the celebrated Fields Corner pizza shop in 2015, just days after graduating from UMass Boston. The son of a small business owner in Fields Corner, he stepped into entrepreneurship with little experience but a strong commitment to his customers and community.

Congratulations, Brian! 👏

We are SO grateful for Economics Internship Program under Marlene Kim for sending us Chris & Sam this semester.

Chris Garcia, a native of Chelsea came back fresh from study abroad in China and was shocked by impact of ICE on our neighborhood. He got right to work interviewing business owners and studying the larger impact economic impact of ICE this year in comparison to the past.

Samantha Doucette, is a career bartender who was interested how mission is applied in city economics. Her work this semester was so inspiring we and her professor felt it could lead her to a PhD if she wanted.

Congratulations Chris & Sam! Bravo! We can’t wait to see what you do next

If you follow Dorchester instagram, or walk or drive the streets of Dot you’ve probably seen in his branded electric cargo bike.

The cargo bike has been a necessary addition for making it to school pickup after he’s been traveling the city looking for hidden gems and patterns in architecture we might not otherwise see.

We’re the lucky ones because Matthew is a friend of the organization, and has agreed to share his personal perspective about the special nature of Fields Corner at our Annual Meeting this year.
