For All interested parties:

Ora’s Place Inc putting on a short play in the Month of May 2026 about things couples, individuals , and youth experience in the lives because life happens . 

We are looking for the following cast:

2 Sainty Saints (Church Sisters)

2 young girls -ages: 17 to 25, who can sing, play piano or another instrument 

1 young male - ages: 17 to 25 who has a sense of humor 

1 Aunt - age: 45 and up

1 Uncle -age: 45 and up

1 father - age: 45 and up

1 Grandfather: 60 age and up

They meet every Saturday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

A stipend is included for participants after completion of the play.

Participants must be interested, committed and have a sense of humor!

Calling all Black men! BMEN is offering a Train the Trainer for those who interested in building Black men's groups!

The training will run on Oct 4-5 and October 18-19 from 3:00pm- 5:00pm

This training is open to Black men from all walks of life who are interested in creating space for the men in their community. We will cover facilitation, organization, and maintaining support.

"They ask, “Why do you smile?” I say, “Because I’m tired of Black men not being able to showcase their joy.” Black men do smile. I’m also a plus-size guy. I’m tired of not seeing myself represented in clothing, in fashion, in spaces where we still want to buy clothes, we still want to look good."

Join us for "Train the Trainer: Black Men's Groups"

As the next step after our 2023 Build Your Own Support Group workshop, this training is all about helping Black men build and lead their own peer spaces for connection, healing, and support.

Learn how to hold space, navigate group dynamics, plan logistics, and sustain real community.
