Market women in Liberia are the backbone of the country's informal economy and local food security. Mostly organized under the umbrella of the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA), these resilient traders make up the vast majority of informal laborers in the country. However, they face distinct systemic, economic, and political hurdles.

Today, we want to do more than donate—we want to show our appreciation for their hard work, resilience, and dedication to providing for their families. These women work tirelessly every day, and we want them to know that they are seen, they are valued, and they are not forgotten.

At Kumba Foundation, we believe that even the smallest act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Our mission is to uplift our communities, restore hope, and remind our people that they matter.
