Millennium Latino Project (MLP), in partnership with The Galleries at LynnArts, is proud to invite artists to submit work for Unidos Por La Cultura: The First Gen Experience Through Art, a special exhibition celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
This exhibition celebrates the creativity, culture, histories, traditions, and lived experiences of Hispanic and Latinx communities through the power of art. We invite artists to share work that reflects personal, cultural, ancestral, or contemporary connections to Hispanic heritage and identity.
Artists are encouraged to explore themes including—but not limited to—identity, family, migration, language, celebration, resilience, memory, community, joy, struggle, place, food, music, spirituality, and the many ways culture is preserved and passed from one generation to the next.
The theme is intentionally open. Whether your work is celebratory, reflective, political, historical, abstract, narrative, traditional, or experimental, we welcome authentic interpretations that tell your story.
All mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media, digital art, installation, fashion, illustration, and other visual art forms.
Throughout the month-long exhibition, Millennium Latino Project will activate the gallery through community programming that brings together artists, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and residents to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The exhibition will feature an Opening Reception to launch the exhibition and a Closing Celebration & Creative Marketplace that highlights local artists and small businesses while creating opportunities for networking, collaboration, and community engagement.
Whether you are exhibiting for the first time or have years of experience, we encourage you to apply. Our goal is to showcase diverse artistic voices and create an inclusive space where culture, creativity, and community come together.

Join us on Saturday, August 15 for the Opening Reception of The Lynn Young Artist Show at the Galleries at LynnArts!
This exhibition features the work of four talented young Lynn artists: Ellery J. Sanchez, Joosi, Osmar Krische, and Bridget Toomey. Each of these artists has previously shared their work with us through GALA group exhibitions or the yearly Lynn Public Schools All City Art Exhibit, and we are excited to give them the opportunity to step into the spotlight and showcase a larger body of their work.
At the Galleries at LynnArts, we believe young creatives deserve spaces where their voices, ideas, and artistic practices can be seen, supported, and celebrated. The Lynn Young Artist Show is part of our commitment to creating those opportunities right here in Lynn.
Come meet the artists, experience their work, and help us celebrate the next generation of Lynn’s creative community.

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 15

Our monthly watercolor workshop with French artist Emmanuelle Le Gal is happening next Wednesday, August 12, from 5:30–7:30 PM — and there are only a few spots left. $25, all materials included.

This series has been a journey so far: we began with painting the ocean in June, then captured a glowing sunset over Lynn Shore Drive in July, and now Emmanuelle is guiding us into the peaceful landscapes of Lynn Woods.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter, everyone is welcome. And no need to worry about drawing — a drawing template is included, so you can focus on painting and enjoying the process!

Framing can be one of the biggest hurdles artists face—but it doesn’t have to be intimidating.

Join Sally Jacobson for a practical workshop covering the basics of custom framing. She will walk through what artists need to know when framing their work, including the different elements and considerations that go into choosing the right presentation for a piece.

Whether you’re preparing work for an exhibition, trying to better understand your framing options, or simply want to feel more confident about getting your artwork from the studio to the gallery wall, this workshop is a great place to start.

In these times of chaos we have decided to embrace the concept of play inspired by our latest exhibit, Six Decades: Retrospective of works by L.Fahn R.

Leslie Fahn Rosenberg has been a part of the community here at 25 Exchange Street since 1998. She was the first artist to take residence in a studio. Throughout her practice of art there has always been a commitment to the concept of exploration through play. Something we lose as adults because we no longer give ourselves permission to explore the world as we once did as children.

So if you are having a stressful day and need a break come visit the Galleries at LynnArts for a trip into the Play Room and the Main Gallery.

Location: Galleries at Lynnarts

Exhibit Hours are:
