RAW is a Lynn, MA-based youth arts organization rooted in art therapy. RAW offers a variety of free programming for kids in Lynn, just north of Boston.

Photos from our summer 2026 POP Art group! Our group of young 4th + 5th grade artists in this group use a large variety of materials to create art through play and exploration. They had so much fun at RAW creating, laughing, and making friends, and brought so much amazing energy into the building. 🦋🐛🎨

Photos from our 2nd Annual Alumni Cookout hosted at the Salem Willows. This was such a special gathering where our alumni community came together to have brave conversations across generations. The day was full of laughter, creativity, community, and amazing eats. Thank you to our Alumni Ambassadors for all of the work they put into making this event so special, and to all of our attendees who showed up to celebrate!

RAW is closed monday, 8/24 until Friday, 8/28 for some much needed rest and relaxation. Here are some photos from our Core group this summer. Core is a group dedicated to helping youth artists build portfolios for college applications and career opportunities. This summer, teens had the opportunity to design their own canvas bags using fabric pastels, played with watercolor to create still lifes, and went outside for some plein air exploration. It was a wonderful week full of color, creativity, and lots of laughs!

RAW is s proud to announce that we have completed installing a large street mural in Central Square supported by the Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative grant! Under the leadership of RAW group leaders Helen Danz, Senior Art Therapist; Lauren Muller, LMHC, ATR, Art Therapist; and Michael Aghahowa, Program Lead, youth artists created a dazzling art piece celebrating the history, culture, and creativity of our city.

RAW wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to Essex County Community Foundation for making our 2026 Block Party art installation possible. This 4-story masterpiece created by our community members in collaboration with RAW Artist Ocean is still adorning our building. Words of welcome and belonging are shining out onto Central Square, projecting out the message that RAW wants the entire city of Lynn to feel: this is a space built by the community for our community, and everyone is welcome here.

We are extremely grateful to everyone at ECCF for their ongoing support of our mission to ignite the desire to create and confidence to be seen in our youth. The impact of this project has gone beyond our Exhibit Opening + Block Party celebration, lasting deep into the summer and greeting our neighbors and each of our young artists as they walk into our building everyday. These words are so meaningful in all of us Central Square, and we are so thankful! ❤

Summer programs are in full swing at RAW! Last week, one of the groups was Mariposa, a group for 4th and 5th grade girl-identifying artists. At the end of the week, Art Therapist and Group Leader Helen invited families to come to RAW for a mini art show so youth artists could show off the amazing work they created and share it with their loved ones. It was a truly spectacular celebration. Thank you to all of our young artists for the creativity and vulnerability they brought into the building, and to their loved ones for coming out to honor their hard work and talent! 🦋🌼🎨

The 2026 Real to Reel Film Screening was a huge success. With over 150 attendees, The Cabot in Beverly came to life with the stories of RAW filmmakers. We are so proud of the films they created, and can’t wait to see what red carpets they’ll walk onto next. Huge congratulations to all of our filmmakers, and the R2R team for making this year's screening so special. 🎬🎥🍿
