To the Virtuous Mothers of Faith

Today we rise to honor the women whose prayers became the covering over generations…
The women whose knees bent in prayer before their children ever learned to stand…
The women whose faith carried families through storms, trials, disappointments, and valleys.
Virtuous mothers are more than caretakers — they are builders of legacy.

They are women of wisdom, strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God.
They carry grace in one hand and resilience in the other.
They wipe tears while hiding their own.
They encourage others while trusting God through silent battles.

Like the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, you have clothed your households with love, dignity, and faith.
Your words have healed wounds.
Your sacrifices have opened doors.
Your prayers have broken chains.
Your obedience to God has become a blessing to generations yet unborn.

We honor the mothers who taught us how to trust God in difficult seasons.
The mothers who stood firm when life tried to shake them.
The spiritual mothers who poured into others with no expectation of recognition.
The grandmothers whose prayers still echo through family bloodlines.
The women who mother through love, mentorship, guidance, and compassion.

Because of your faith:
Families stayed together.
Children found purpose.
Communities were strengthened.
Churches remained anchored.
Hope survived.

You are the heartbeat of homes, the strength behind families, and the quiet warriors of the Kingdom of God.
May God continue to crown you with strength, peace, favor, and joy.
May your latter years be greater than your former.
May your seeds of sacrifice return to you in multiplied blessings.

And may generations rise up and call you blessed.
“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.” — Proverbs 31:28
To every virtuous mother of faith:
We see you.
We honor you.
We thank God for you.

Happy Mother’s Day!
God Bless You!

I wonder if she remembered his first steps
while she stood beneath his last

If the sound of the hammer
echoed like the rhythm
of his little feet running toward her

Mama, look

I wonder
if she thought about the first time
he said her name
soft and small
before the world ever called Him Savior

Before crowds
Before miracles
Before the weight of the cross

He was just her boy

The one she carried
The one she held
The one she kissed goodnight

And now—

Now she stands
with empty hands
watching the same hands
that once reached for hers
stretched out on wood

Pierced

I wonder if her heart whispered
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go

Or if somewhere deep within her
she knew…

This was exactly
why He came

Because He was never only her son

He was her Savior too

The same voice that once said
Mama
now speaks forgiveness over the world

The same hands she once wrapped
in cloth
are now bearing the weight
of every sin

And still—

He looks at her

Not just as a King
Not just as a sacrifice

But as her son

And I wonder
if in that moment
her heart broke in two directions

Grieving the boy she raised
and worshiping the God He is

Because what kind of mother
watches her child die
and still calls it holy

What kind of love
stands at the foot of suffering
and doesn’t turn away

Mary did

She stayed

Through the pain
Through the questions
Through the silence of heaven

She stayed

And maybe that’s what love is

Not understanding
Not fixing
Not rescuing

But staying

Even when your heart
is being nailed to the cross
right alongside Him

And I wonder
through tear blurred eyes
if she whispered

That’s my son

and at the very same time

That’s my Savior

The Women of Scripture Who Changed History

Today I am thinking about the women in Scripture whose faith, courage, and wisdom changed the course of history.

The Bible is not only filled with kings, prophets, and warriors. It is also filled with remarkable women whose decisions shaped generations.

Rahab was once known by her past, but her faith rewrote her future. She protected the spies of Israel and became part of the lineage through which Christ came.

Naomi walked through grief and loss, yet her guidance positioned Ruth in the lineage of kings.

Ruth herself became a powerful example of loyalty and devotion. A foreign widow who chose faith over comfort, she became the great-grandmother of David.

Esther risked her life before a king to save her people, proving that courage can change the destiny of a nation.

Deborah rose as a judge and leader in Israel when the nation needed courage, proving that wisdom and strength are not limited by gender.

Miriam led Israel in worship after the Red Sea and stood as a prophetic voice in her generation.

Hannah turned her pain into prayer, and from her womb came Samuel, one of the greatest prophets in Israel.

Elizabeth walked faithfully before God even through years of waiting. In time she gave birth to John the Baptist, the one who would prepare the way for the Messiah.

Jochebed, the mother of Moses, risked everything to preserve the life of her child, protecting the one who would later deliver Israel.

Jael displayed fearless courage when she delivered Israel from oppression, proving that sometimes history changes through one decisive act of bravery.

And Pharaoh's Daughter, though raised in Egypt's palace, showed compassion that preserved the life of a future prophet.

Hannah turned her pain into prayer, and from her womb came Samuel, one of the greatest prophets in Israel.

Abigail demonstrated wisdom and humility that prevented bloodshed and preserved her household.

Mary carried the greatest assignment ever given to a human being, she gave birth to the Savior of the world.

Mary Magdalene was the first witness of the resurrection, entrusted with announcing the greatest news in history.

The Samaritan Woman encountered Christ at a well and became a messenger who brought an entire city to Him.

Rebekah demonstrated extraordinary generosity and hospitality at a well, unknowingly stepping into her divine destiny.

The Shunammite Woman showed remarkable faith and hospitality, and God restored the son she once lost.

Anna spent her life in prayer and fasting, and she was among the first to recognize the Messiah.

Dorcas filled her life with kindness and service, and when she died the community mourned deeply because of the lives she had touched.

These women came from different backgrounds.

Some were queens.
Some were widows.
Some were servants.
Some carried painful pasts.

Yet each of them responded to God with faith, courage, and obedience.

And because of that, their stories are still shaping the world thousands of years later.

Today we celebrate the strength, compassion, wisdom, and faith of women everywhere.

Happy International Women's Day.
