In 1917, a Chicago businessman by the name of Melvin Jones organized the first Lions Club...from that humble beginning; Lions Club International expanded globally to a membership of over 1.4 million, in 206 countries, with over 45,000 clubs!!!!
“Knights of the Blind”

Helen Keller challenged the Lions to provide services to fight blindness and help the visually impaired in the year 1925. The Lions

eagerly accepted the challenge....along with the challenge of those with hearing difficulties. Endless screenings; eye exams, eye glasses, hearing screenings, and hearing aids have been provided by Lions Clubs through the financial support of their communities. Meets Barlo Steakhouse & Bistro, 2nd Tuesday every month from 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm.
