Justice 4 Housing is an advocacy organization committed to ending homelessness for Justice Involved and formerly incarcerated individuals, through permanent and emergency solutions.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Justice 4 Housing stands with survivors and the advocates who support them. Everyone deserves safety, stability, and a home where they can heal, and we remain committed to removing barriers that keep survivors and families from secure housing and the resources they need. Great day tabling last Friday at the Community Opportunity & Resource Fair hosted by the Raphael Ophir Community Center (ROCC)! It was great connecting with community members, sharing resources, and learning alongside so many local partners working to expand opportunity and support.

Last week, we were proud to join Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, the Reentry Health Community Cohort, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts for a Service Day supporting people returning home from incarceration. BCBS volunteers packed Welcome Home Bags with essential items and resources, and we appreciated the chance to share lunch and uplift the work of the Reentry Health Community Cohort and the grassroots partners making reentry support possible every day.

Special shoutout to Isabel at MLRI for always standing with us, and thank you to the BCBS volunteers for showing up for our communities!

🏠🔑 SHARP Program Spotlight: Meet Antonio!

Today we’re highlighting SHARP program participant Antonio and celebrating his move-in milestone. Antonio spent a long time staying consistent and patient as he worked toward permanent housing. He first came through our transitional housing program as a temporary stepping stone, and once his voucher was in place, he transitioned into SHARP and moved into a home of his own.

We’re proud of you, Antonio, and honored to be part of your journey.

Our annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway was a success, and we’re grateful to share it with the Cambridge Housing Authority, a proud partner in this work. It was a joy to see families come out, connect, and make sure students head into the school year feeling prepared and supported. We also appreciate Old South Church in Boston for their generous backpack donations that helped support this giveaway.

We’re so grateful for the support that made our annual backpack drive possible. Thank you to Third Rock Ventures for hosting a Back to School backpack-building event, where the TRV team assembled 144 backpacks for Justice 4 Housing to distribute to our program participants and the community we serve. Special thanks to Life Science Cares Boston for making this connection possible!
