Join us on June 5 for the FINAL speaker event of the season!

This is a conversation everyone can relate to, whether at work, at home, leading a team, raising kids, or simply trying to better understand the people around us.

Generations: Why We Click, Clash, and Connect - Every generation has been shaped by different defining moments that affect how people listen, lead, trust, and communicate. What sounds rude, distant, dramatic, or careless to one generation may feel completely normal to another.

Together, let’s decode those differences so we can communicate with more wisdom, more grace, less eye-rolling, and model the kind of understanding we hope to receive.

🎤 Featuring Jessica Lynn Shull
Director of Marketing Operations at
JoshuaOneNine.

Wow. What a powerful presentation at Friday’s luncheon!

We are so grateful to Sgt. Kiel Nowers for sharing practical, real-life tools to help de-escalate conflict and create more peace in our everyday interactions.

What stood out most… this wasn’t just about handling tense moments. It was about building stronger relationships, leading with empathy, and creating a little more harmony in our workplaces, homes, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to show up to learn and make our community better.

What if one small act could shape a child’s entire future?

Right now in our community, 3,227 children are receiving books each month through our Dolly Parton Imagination Library program… because people like you chose to care.

But there are still more children waiting.

When you sponsor a child, you’re not just giving a book.

You’re building confidence.
You’re sparking imagination.
You’re creating a lifelong love of learning.

Each month, a child opens their mailbox to find a brand new, age-appropriate book with their name on it.

A moment of joy. A sense of ownership. A foundation for success.

📚 Just $30 can sponsor a child for an entire year!!

Will you help us reach the next child?

👉 Donations can be made here to sponsor a child today: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/womenunitedofmcleancounty/

Thank you for your consideration! ❤️

We want to give a BIG shoutout to an incredible group of leaders from the Multicultural Leadership Institute + Program Class of 2026 👏

Brenda Lang, José Manuel Pérez, Julie Miller, and CJ Hamilton — you did a phenomenal job!

As part of their final project, this team partnered with Women United to help elevate Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library right here in McLean County… and they delivered. Thoughtful strategy, strong collaboration, and a clear passion for making a difference.

Their work is helping us think bigger about how we expand access to books and create more opportunities to put them into the hands of children who need them most. And that matters.

It was such a joy to work alongside you all. Thank you for your energy, your ideas, and your heart for this community 💙📚

The future is in very good hands!
