Day two for our Dental/Agricultre team was filled with sharing God’s love in practical ways.

🌻 Our Agricultural Team worked alongside the farm staff preparing the soil and planting sunflowers. They shared sustainable farming practices rooted in the principle of farming God’s way. Together they learned how to care for the land and steward God’s creation well.

🦷 Our Dental Team spent the day caring for students and staff from both the junior and senior schools. Through essential dental services and compassionate care, they helped meet an important need in the community. Their service was greatly appreciated!

Farming is more than cultivating the land. It’s an opportunity to steward what God has entrusted to us.

Our Agriculture team is providing Farming God’s Way training to the Farm staff in Kenya, sharing practical methods for caring for the soil and producing healthy crops while grounding that work in biblical principles.

Through training, hands-on experience, and partnership, we’re helping equip the Farm staff with tools they can continue to use long after our team leaves.

Big things are taking shape in Kenya! Two biogas plants are being built, one for the High School and one for the Junior High. These plants will convert manure into biogas for cooking and science labs, creating a sustainable resource for the schools.

The first steps are already underway. The holes for the biogas plants have been dug, and bricks are being made on site in Kenya for construction.

Projects like this are helping create sustainable solutions that can serve students and staff for years to come. We’re grateful to see the Agriculture team investing in practical ways to support the schools and steward the resources God has provided.

Yesterday, our GOYA team joined the students for a Sunday service. This was the first service of the semester! The church was vibrant, filled with praise and worship.

One of our team members, Shannon, shared an encouraging message with the congregation about remaining faithful to God, even during times of sadness.

Afterward, Bishop Shadrack led the congregation in Holy Communion. It was a joyful and blessed service, bringing students, staff, and the Dental/Agriculture team together in unity as we begin this semester.

Yesterday, GOYA Ministries and joined together to celebrate our Dental & Agriculture Team's beginning to their journey to Kenya.

Carrying not only supplies and skills, but a heart to serve and share the love of Christ. Through the dental ministry, the team will provide dental care and practical support to communities with limited access to oral healthcare. The agriculture team, they will work alongside local communities sharing sustainable farming knowledge and practical tools that can help strengthen future food security.

But this trip is about more than dentistry or agriculture. It’s about building relationships and being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Our GOYA Ministries family is heartbroken by the unexpected passing of Mitchell Wairimu, a beloved 16-year-old student at REM High School in Kenya.

Mitchell was a bright 10th-grade student and a remarkably talented dancer whose joy and presence touched so many throughout our school community. She was a daughter, a friend, a classmate, a student, and a treasured part of our GOYA family.

Today, we grieve alongside Mitchell’s family, her friends, her teachers, and her fellow students as they face a loss that came far too soon.

We are deeply grateful for the 16 years of Mitchell’s life and for the memories she leaves with all who knew and loved her. Her place in our school community cannot be replaced, and she will be profoundly missed.

Please join us in praying for Mitchell’s family and for our students and staff in Kenya in the difficult days ahead. May they experience God’s comfort and peace as they mourn together.

After a full week of training, it was tournament time!

Students from our junior and senior high schools competed in basketball, volleyball, handball, javelin, chess and several of the new games they had learned throughout the week. It was a great opportunity for them to take everything they had been practicing and put it into action through some friendly competition.

We wrapped up the week by celebrating the teams and students who stood out along the way, presenting trophies in recognition of their hard work and sportsmanship.

What a great way to finish an incredible week! We’re proud of our students for the way they competed, encouraged one another and embraced every opportunity to learn something new.

Last week, our sports outreach team had the opportunity to work with students from both our junior and senior high schools, helping them develop their skills in basketball, volleyball, handball, javelin and chess.

But they didn’t stop with the familiar! The team also introduced students to some new activities, including flag football, Base 5 and Scrabble. It was so much fun watching the students learn something new, challenge themselves and discover new interests along the way.

We’re grateful for a week filled with great competition, lots of learning and plenty of smiles. Thank you to our sports team for investing so intentionally in our students!
