Fibers of Love - Bloomington / Normal Sewing for the community, county, country and the world. New members are always welcome as the need to share God's love through sewing never ends!

To continue our ministry, donations of fabric, thread, needles and other sewing supplies are always appreciated. Volunteers, both sewers and non-sewers, are needed!

Everyone was busy at Fibers this week. We are certainly initiating the new ironing board and iron! It's wonderful!
As we continue to make kimonos for infants we are in need of extra wide double fold bias tape. Any color. And, as we look forward to the coming seasons, we also would like to have donations of Christmas fabric to begin making those projects.
Please drop off any donations at the doors at the parking lot at First Christian Church, 401 W Jefferson Str in Bloomington.

Fibers has a new ironing board (extra wide) and wonderful professional iron thanks to the generosity of Herb Litwiller's family. They named Fibers of Love as a recipient of his memorial gifts. We will also be able to do cleaning and repairs of our sewing machines thanks to these gifts. Herb and Liz supported Fibers for many, many years. The family continues to love and support our mission to meet the needs of our community, country and world. Thank you!

This week we had a request from Arcadia Nursing Home for 7 wheelchair quilts and 10 walker bags. Our volunteers were able to complete this request this morning.
We also had a volunteer donate 17 hats and 5 quilts for Bromenn.

There's something special about the camaraderie at Fibers of Love. Every shared moment reminds us that we share in making a difference for our town, our country and the world.
At the end of June we had, together, made a total of 498 items. Already in July we have delivered linens, towels and washcloths to the Salvation Army. We have also given Veteran quilts to Carle.
We have given 10 one handle bags, 10 port protectors and 10 Cover Them with Love lap quilts to a local institution. Below are more quilts we have made;
