Are any of you baseball fans? If so, you may enjoy this art video I created in memory of my dad who was an avid baseball fan and also an artist. This piece contains surrealistic melting clocks reminiscent of Salvador Dali and my own expressionistic, folksy, whimsical style. I had no idea how to even begin writing the poetry for this piece which includes royalty free music. But, as I usually do, I brought this to the Lord and we created the video with the poetry together. I painted this piece, Dreaming of Game Time, shortly after my dad passed on Leap Day, February 29, 2020. What do you think of it?

🎨🌎✨ So much to look forward to this June with our Threshold to Hope Children’s Art Program! ✨🌎🎨

Thanks to support from the Healing Illinois grant through the Field Foundation, June will be filled with creativity, multicultural learning, community connection, and special events for our young artists and families.

🖌️ High-quality art supplies, canvases, and creative projects
🏠 Kindness Mini Pantry preview and grand opening
🌎 Multicultural celebrations and creative experiences throughout the month
🎈 End-of-June multicultural party celebrating our young artists, families, and community

We are so excited to continue creating welcoming spaces centered around creativity, kindness, culture, healing, and community through the arts as we complete our Healing Illinois grant programming by June 30th. 💙

🎨📚🌎✨ Look what has arrived at the studio for the Children’s Art Program! ✨🌎📚🎨

Thanks to support from the Healing Illinois grant through the Field Foundation, we’ve been busy preparing new multicultural books for our Multicultural Kids Corner, high-quality art supplies, canvases, creative materials, and special event supplies for upcoming Children’s Program multicultural activities and events taking place throughout June.

We are especially excited to be preparing party supplies, activities, and creative experiences for our multicultural party planned for the end of June celebrating our young artists, families, and community as we complete our Healing Illinois grant programming by June 30th. 💙

From inspiring stories and diverse artists to creative learning experiences and colorful art projects, these grant-funded resources are helping us continue building welcoming spaces centered around creativity, kindness, culture, healing, and community connection through the arts.

This is just a small preview of some of the wonderful new supplies and resources made possible through the Healing Illinois grant! 🎉🎨✨
