While the front-door welcoming committee in Cat Room 2 is busy mobbing visitors for attention, Miss Fifi is up in the rafters treating the catio ledge like her own private Parisian runway. She is poised, elegant, and completely unbothered by room drama. But do not mistake her calm observation for being aloof—because when dinner time hits, the high-fashion routine takes a sharp turn: "I may observe from afar, but at dinner time? I march right up to the top shelf to politely demand my meal—and ask for seconds before finishing my first bowl."At 4 years old, Fifi knows exactly who she is and what she wants. She loves ear scratches, appreciates a well-timed head rub, and rocks a blue floral bow collar like absolute royalty. She doesn’t need a chaotic household—she just wants a sunny window, a comfortable sofa, and a human who respects a prompt dinner schedule. ✨ FAST FACTS:
• Name: Fifi (CPRG-A-566)
• Age: 4 Years Old
• Breed: Domestic Shorthair (Classic Tabby)
• Location: Cat Room 2 & Catio
• Litter Box Trained: Yes
• Vibe: Regal catio supervisor by day, dedicated snacker by evening 👉 Ready to give this top-shelf queen her forever couch? 🐾 DOG WALKERS NEEDED. MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE A 60 LB DOG.

We have dogs who need to get out of their pens and stretch their legs, burn off some energy, and just be dogs for a little while. That takes people. Right now we have more dogs than dedicated volunteers.

This one requires some physical capability. You need to be steady on your feet and able to comfortably walk a dog up to 60 pounds who will be excited, can be strong, and ready to go explore.

If that's you, we are desperate for help Come give a dog the best part of their day.

Fill this out and one of our lovely volunteers will call you! https://f.mtr.cool/s2twq9drs4

Hi there! I'm Trout, and I am so excited to tell you all about myself! ❤️✨

I'm a sweet ~4.5-month-old girl with a beautiful grey and white tabby coat, and I'm a Domestic Shorthair. I'm currently hanging out at the shelter, where I'm always on the lookout for cozy nap spots and fun new adventures.

Around here, I'm known as a curious, playful little kitten who loves to pounce on toys and soak up love. I am officially **litter box trained** and enjoy the company of other cats. If you're looking for an adorable, sweet companion to bring plenty of purrs and joy into your home, I might just be your perfect catch! 🐾✨

🎃 Trunk or Treat at Castoff Pet Rescue! 🍬

Come join us for our annual Trunk or Treat! Bring your dressed-up kiddos to show off their costumes — our volunteers and staff will have their cars decked out and their candy buckets full (we call it “strategic bribery” to see all those adorable costumes).

There may also be a few costumed critters in attendance… possibly even Vivi in a hot dog suit. 🌭🐾
It’s a low-key, family-fun afternoon before you head off to the big Halloween events — just sweet treats, happy faces, and wagging tails.

🗓 Friday, October 30th
🕒 3 PM – 6 PM
📍 240 Patton Place, Blairsville, GA 30512
🚗 Enter through the second driveway and park by the big white tent!
Come for the candy, stay for the puppy snuggles!

🍗 CAN'T WALK A 60 LB DOG? WE STILL NEED YOU.

Not everybody can handle a big strong dog on a leash, and that is completely okay. We have another way for you to help that involves a lot less pulling and a lot more chicken nuggets.

Sign up for Doggy Day Out. You pick up a dog, hit the drive thru, grab them a plain chicken nugget or two, let them feel like a regular dog out in the world for a few hours that doesn't end in a trip to the vet.

That's it. That's the whole job. And for a dog who has been living in a temporary pen this week, it might be the best day they've had in a long time.

Fill this out and the lovely Kristinia will set you up! https://f.mtr.cool/r5mifec4bb

Hi there! I'm Tulip, a beautiful 6-month-old brown tabby kitten, and I am officially ready to find my forever family! 🐾

I came to the shelter a few months ago, but I am now fully spayed, healthy, and spending my days waiting for you in Cat Room 1. The staff here says I am great with other cats, so I would love to be a little sister if you already have a feline friend at home.

I am a petite tabby girl with a big heart, just waiting for someone to come fall in love with me. Stop by the shelter and come say hi—I can't wait to meet you! 🐱✨

Tayto 🐾

Name: Tayto
Breed: Coonhound, Redbone/Mixed Breed
Color/Pattern: Red/Mahogany
Age: 10 months (Puppy)
S*x: Male
Rehoming Donation: $300

Personality:
Tayto is adventurous, energetic, and friendly, with a gentle and loyal heart that shines through in everything he does. He's playful and smart, always ready for the next adventure, whatever that may be.

Tayto's Story:
Tayto is one of Molly's puppies, born into a hoarding situation alongside his siblings Lottie, Dottie, Cricket, Pickles, and Ducky. Along the way, Tayto ended up dumped on Franklin Mountain with several of his littermates, but we were able to rescue him from that too. He's safe now, fully vetted, and getting loved up every single day, but like his family, he still has some rehabilitation ahead of him.

Why You'll Love Tayto:
He's a gorgeous Redbone Coonhound mix with a huge heart, he just needs some time with the CPR treatment before he's ready for his forever home. Watching Tayto learn what safety and comfort feel like for the first time is something truly special, and he's already blossoming more every day.

About Buster
Buster is one of those dogs you meet once and immediately think, “Yep… that’s a good dog.” He’s handsome, happy, and has a heart as big as his goofy grin.

Personality
This boy is pure sunshine. Buster is full of joy, tail wags, and that contagious happiness that can turn any bad day around. He’s affectionate and a total love bug who just wants to play tug half the day and be in your lap the other half.

Perfect Home
Buster is ready for a home that means forever. He’d love a family who will include him in daily life, give him love, and provide a safe, cozy place to land. He’s the perfect “just right” size for adventures and couch cuddles alike.

Compatibility
🐕 Dogs: It's complicated
🐱 Cats: He doesn't seem to care about them

Behavior & Training Notes
Buster barks and barks while he's in his kennel. As soon as he goes for a walk or someone pays attention to him, he clams right up. This is a dog that is looking for his person to love him.

Neutered, microchipped, and fully vetted.

Buster's Story
Buster was found roaming on a cold night and brought to safety by a kind donor of ours near the Chatuge Gun Club. From there, he landed with us and quickly made himself at home in our hearts. Now he’s safe, cared for, and ready for his next chapter.

Why You’ll Love Buster
He’s the total package. The perfect size, the perfect personality, and the kind of dog who makes life better just by being in it. Buster doesn’t ask for much… just love, safety, and a place to belong.
