YSUnity is happy to announce our meeting schedule for this semester!

This semester we will meet every other friday at 5pm! Our first meeting will be held on September 25 at 5pm, in DeBartolo Hall, room 558! We hope you’ll be able to make it. This meeting will be an opportunity to meet our board and members, as well as go over the YSUnity constitution and ask questions. 🍄🌈✨

We are deeply saddened by the death of two LGBTQIA+ allies. We cannot deny how their works and their dedication to the q***r community has not impacted YSUnity. They were such an inspiration to the world, to the q***r community, to us. Dolly Parton taught us to love others unconditionally and Tim Curry taught us to not be ashamed of who we are during a time where that was not accepted. We mourn the loss of these icons and give our condolences to their loved ones. Thank you Dolly Parton and Tim Curry for everything you have done for us ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

YSUnity had quite an eventful pride season! We are so grateful for the community we are immersed in. From the amazing opportunity of hosting the Greater Mahoning Valley LGBTQ+ Community Needs Assessment Launch Event, to being present vendors at FOUR different pride events in our valley.

We hope to be a part of all pride seasons and celebrations to come. While pride month 2026 is over, celebrating love and diversity never ends!

We hope you’re all having an amazing summer and we can’t wait to see you all on campus soon!! 🤍🌈✨

July is Disability Pride Month! This month is for celebrating disability identity and community, commemorating the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990. Disability pride may mean different things to different people, reach out to individuals in your circle to ask what this month means to them! 🤍✨

Nonbinary Awareness week is a time to uplift our nonbinary friends. The human understanding of gender and binary identities has evolved greatly. This is a time to show respect and recognition for individuals who identify as nonbinary! 💛🤍💜🖤
