At the last Billings Lion Club meeting, our friends from the Joliet Lions Club- Flo and Janice presented on their Club's project of significant improvements to the Joliet park.

According to Kati Quarton, Park Committee member- the Clubs project is "an inclusive playground here in Joliet designed to be accessible and welcoming for community members of all abilities".

We appreciate Flo and Janice taking the time to present their Club's vision of an inclusive playground for Joliets town members and visitors.

On this day of Memorial, we honor those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for this great Nation.

In Flanders Fields
John McCrae, 1915.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Thank you to all of those who have served, to their families, and to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to make this land great. Be safe this Memorial Day.
