We were honored to have Athena spend two weeks with us this summer during our summer camp. She was a rockstar volunteer who really connected with our campers and made them feel like they belong.

We hope she joins us again next year!

If you're interested in getting involved like Athena, visit our volunteer page at https://www.handinhandqc.org/volunteer

The most-recent student recognized is Athena Montalvo of Davenport. She was nominated by her mother due to her work with Hand in Hand's summer camp.

What would make child care work better in Scott County?

Child care affects families, businesses, and our entire community. Four local organizations have partnered on the Scott County Child Care Access Study to find out where care is working and what changes could make the biggest difference.

We're asking parents and caregivers, employers, and child care providers to share their experiences. Whether child care is working well for you or you've struggled to find what you need, we want to hear from you. Everyone who takes part can get a copy of the findings in December.

Find your survey at www.scottcountychildcarestudy.org.

Surveys close Sunday, November 1. Please share!

Help shape what comes next for child care in Scott County.
