✨Another great QCSI Session!✨

This time, we focused on Finances 101—giving our athletes the tools to build a strong financial future. From understanding the basics of saving money to breaking down loans and learning how credit works, this session was all about setting them up for success beyond the game.

Knowledge is power, and financial literacy is a game-changer. Proud of our athletes for showing up, asking questions, and investing in themselves on and off the field! 💪📈

Thank you to Tasha Keegan, Senior Vice President, and Regional Commercial Banking Executive for TBK Bank Quad Cities for taking the time to talk to us about financial fundamentals!

Great communication builds strong teams- and strong teams build lasting success. 🤝

Our QCSI workshop on communication and teamwork brought everyone together to sharpen listening skills, strengthen collaboration, and create a culture where every voice matters. Through interactive discussions and team activities, we explored how clarity, trust and respect can have powerful results.

Sending a big thank you to TJ Lacey, director of TNT Basketball, for taking the time lead this amazing session!

Congratulations to Meg Schebler Quad Cities Sport Initiative VP on being recognized for her involvement with sports in the Quad Cities by Visit Quad Cities. Meg's work in our community is a continued inspiration to all girls and women in sports.

We recently asked the community to nominate women who deserve recognition for their contributions to sports in the QC, and we received some incredible responses.

Next up is Meg Schebler! Meg, a native of Davenport, IA has been involved in sports from the time she could throw a baseball and shoot a basketball. She has been a tireless advocate for girls and women in sports her entire career. Schebler has been involved in collegiate athletics for almost 30 years and currently serves as the Commissioner of the Continental Athletic Conference, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Schebler has been active at the NAIA conference and national levels throughout her career, currently serving as a member of the NAIA National Administrative Council and the NAIA RISE committee. Her past committee work has included the Hall of Fame and Honors Committee and the Champions of Character Advisory Committee. She has been a past officer of the NAIA Athletic Directors’ Association and served for many years as the Chair of the NAIA Women's Basketball Tournament Committee. Schebler recently worked with the Nebraska Coaches’ Association, presenting to hundreds of high school students across the state. She regularly serves as a speaker and moderator at NAIA National Conventions and was elected to the NAIA Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service in 2018. She was also on the Sports QC task Force.

Incredible work, Meg!

✨January QCSI Skills Session✨

Sports benefit student-athletes beyond competition by building discipline and resilience. Through life skills sessions, practices, and games, they develop essential skills—like time management, teamwork, communication, and discipline—that prepare them for future athletic, academic, and professional challenges.
