A New Beginning: Foundation Stone Laid for Satheesh MJ's Dream Home! 🏡✨

Life tested Satheesh MJ (48) with unimaginable hardships. After fighting back from a severe accident that left him bedridden, a second hit-and-run accident plunged him deep into debt while supporting his wife, ailing mother, and living in a rented home.

Hope Prevails:
Thanks to a generous international Parish (St Thomas Orthodox Church, Baltimore) that stepped in upon hearing his plight, the foundation stone for Satheesh’s new 500 sq. ft. home was blessed and laid on August 17, 2026 (Chingam 1st) on his own four-cent plot.

ജീവിതം Satheesh നേ (48) സങ്കൽപ്പിക്കാനാവാത്ത വിധം പരീക്ഷിച്ചു. നാല് വർഷം മുമ്പ് ഒരു അപകടത്തിൽ കിടപ്പിലായ അദ്ദേഹം കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തിലൂടെ 80% രോഗമുക്തി നേടുമ്പോഴേക്കും, വീണ്ടും കാറിടിച്ച് പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും കനത്ത കടക്കെണിയിലാവുകയും ചെയ്തു.
എങ്കിലും പ്രതീക്ഷ കൈവിടാത്ത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചെറിയൊരു പ്ലോട്ടിൽ പുതിയ 500 sq. ft. വീടിന്റെ തറക്കല്ലിടൽ 2026 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 17-ന് (ചിങ്ങം 1) നടന്നു. വിദേശത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ഒരു ഇടവകയാണ് ഇതിന് പിന്തുണ നൽകിയത്.

Satheesh ന്റെയും കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയും നന്മക്കായി ഏവരുടെയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും പിന്തുണയും അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. 🙏🙏

This year, our dear KJ Jacob Kochettu (Rajuchayan), CMD of ABTEC, Kottayam (a committed volunteer for ICON), marks a truly blessed milestone - his 75th birthday!
True to his compassionate spirit, Rajuchayan has chosen a remarkable way to give thanks: donating 75 cents of land to 16 of the most deserving, landless families (4 cents each) so they can finally build homes of their own.
Few days back, land ownership documents handed over to some of the selected beneficiaries (see picture above). That was a golden moment indeed!
Even more inspiring, his dream is to stand by them as a facilitator and support system until every single house is completed.
We are proud to share that ICON will proudly associate for the construction of one of these homes! 🏡
Let us join hands in prayer to wish Rajuchayan abundant health, peace, and many more years of joyful service, walking ever closely in the path shown by our Lord Jesus Christ.

*Subadra യുടെ സ്വപ്നഭവനം യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാക്കാൻ ഒരു കൈത്താങ്ങ്”*
"ഒരു ദിവസമെങ്കിലും സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിൽ ഒന്ന് കിടന്നുറങ്ങണം" - കടുത്ത പ്രതിസന്ധികൾക്കിടയിലും തളരാതെ പൊരുതുന്ന 63 കാരിയായ Mrs. സുഭദ്ര ചന്ദ്രന്റെ വലിയൊരു സ്വപ്നമാണിത്.
ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ സകല ദുരിതങ്ങളും ഒരുപോലെ പെയ്തിറങ്ങിയ കുടുംബമാണ് സുഭദ്രയുടേത്. രോഗിയായ ഭർത്താവിനെ പരിചരിക്കാനും കുടുംബം പുലർത്താനും അവർ തൊഴിലുറപ്പ് ജോലിക്ക് പോകുന്നു. ഏറെ കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടാണ് രണ്ട് പെൺമക്കളുടെ വിവാഹം നടത്തിവിട്ടത്. എന്നാൽ വിധി വീണ്ടും ക്രൂരമായി പരീക്ഷിച്ചു; ഏക മകൻ വാഹനാപകടത്തെ തുടർന്ന് 4 വർഷത്തോളം കിടപ്പിലായി. LIFE മിഷൻ പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ നാല് സെന്റ് സ്ഥലത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയ വീട് നിർമ്മാണവും വഴിയിൽ നിലച്ചു. ഒടുവിൽ ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് രൂപയുടെ കടക്കെണിയിലും അകപ്പെട്ടു.
നമ്മുടെ ഐക്കൺ (ICON) വളണ്ടിയർമാരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് ഈ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ദുരിതാവസ്ഥ ഐക്കണിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത്. സുഭദ്രയുടെ ഈ വലിയ സ്വപ്നത്തിന് കൂട്ടായി ഇപ്പോൾ ICON ചാരിറ്റീസും ARDRATHA ഫെലോഷിപ്പും കൈകോർക്കുകയാണ്.
ഈ കാരുണ്യ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിന് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നമ്മുടെ മെന്റർ പ്രൊഫ. പി.സി. വർഗീസ് സർ ആദ്യ ഗഡു കൈമാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു (ചിത്രം കാണുക).

🏠 ICON Aishwarya Home No. 100: A Bitter-Sweet Milestone ❤️
With hearts full of gratitude to God Almighty, we are deeply moved to announce the completion of our 100th Aishwarya Home.
This milestone is not just a number; it represents a sanctuary built on faith, community support, and enduring love. However, this centennial home comes with a story that touches the very depths of our hearts.
The Journey of Mathai Chettan
In September 2025, Mr. Mathai Joseph (79), a hardworking daily laborer, approached ICON through our dedicated volunteer, Mr. Philip Jacob. Mathai’s family was facing immense hardship:
His beloved wife had been bedridden for six years following a stroke.
His divorced younger daughter and her child were all crowded into his brother’s house.
Though he received partial support under the government's LIFE scheme to build a small house on his 5-cent plot, the construction was left unfinished due to a lack of funds.
Mathai Chettan had one profound, heartbreakingly simple dream: "To live at least one night with my sick wife in our own Aishwarya Home."
A Heartbreaking Loss & A Divine Mission
Moved by his plea, Team ICON worked tirelessly to complete the house. Sadly, the race against time took a poignant turn. In February 2026, Mathai’s wife was called to her eternal rest. Their dream of sharing even a single night together in their new home remained unfulfilled.
Dedication and Blessings
A few days ago, the completed house was formally blessed by the local CSI Parish Priest, with a few members of the ICON team in attendance. It was a deeply memorable yet bittersweet event.
While the atmosphere was quiet and serene, the underlying emotions were profound. As we prepared to leave, tears rolled down the cheeks of 80-year-old Mathai Chettan—tears born of grief for his late wife, mixed with immense gratitude for a roof finally over his family's head.
"Everything is by God's Grace. Our 100th Aishwarya Home stands dedicated to a truly deserving family."
We extend our deepest gratitude to every donor, volunteer, and well-wisher who supported this divine mission. May the Almighty continue to bless all the great souls who make these miracles possible.

നമ്മുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട വോളന്റിയറും മുൻ ഇറിഗേഷൻ വകുപ്പ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനുമായ *Shaji Thomas Kuriannore (Ex. Irrigation Dept)-ന്റെ* മികച്ച നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച പുതിയ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ പണി വിജയകരമായി പൂർത്തിയായിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
അഭിവന്ദ്യ Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan-ന്റെ മുഖ്യകാർമ്മികത്വത്തിൽ പുതിയ വീടിന്റെ കൂദാശ കർമ്മം നിർവ്വഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
ഒരു സെക്യൂരിറ്റി ജീവനക്കാരനായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന Sonu, പ്രായമായ മുത്തശ്ശൻ ഉൾപ്പെടെ അഞ്ചംഗങ്ങളുള്ള തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം അതുവരെ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന പഴയതും ജീർണ്ണിച്ചതുമായ വീടും പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ കാണാം. ആ സ്ഥാനത്താണ് ഇന്ന് ഈ പുതിയ സ്നേഹക്കൂട് ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

*Pampady Orthodox Convention Executive Committee, KG College NSS Unit, ICON Charities* എന്നിവർ സംയുക്തമായി കൈകോർത്ത, തികച്ചും സവിശേഷവും ഹൃദയസ്പർശിയുമായ ഒരു പദ്ധതിയായിരുന്നു ഇത്.

KG College പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ *Prof. Renny P. Varghese*-ന്റെയും മറ്റ് അധ്യാപകരുടെയും മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശത്തിൽ NSS വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ കാട്ടിയ ആവേശവും പ്രതിബദ്ധതയും ഏറെ മാതൃകാപരമാണ്. സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായത്തിന് പുറമേ, ഈ വീടിന്റെ നിർമ്മാണത്തിനായി നേരിട്ട് വന്ന് ശാരീരിക അധ്വാനം നൽകാൻ അവർ കാണിച്ച മനസ്സ് സഹജീവികളോടുള്ള അവരുടെ യഥാർത്ഥ സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെയും കാരുണ്യത്തിന്റെയും പ്രതീകമാണ്. ..🙏

*കൂദാശ കർമ്മത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത ഏവരുടെയും സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ, സോനുവും കുടുംബവും തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ കൃതജ്ഞത "നന്ദിയോടെ ഞാൻ സ്തുതി പാടും..." എന്ന ഗാനം ഭക്തിസാന്ദ്രമായി ആലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചത് അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരുടെയും മിഴികളെ ഈറനണിയിക്കുന്നതായിരുന്നു.
ഈ ഉദാത്തമായ കാരുണ്യപ്രവർത്തി വിജയകരമായി പൂർത്തിയാക്കാൻ സഹായിച്ച, പ്രാർത്ഥനകളോടെ കൂടെനിന്ന എല്ലാവർക്കും ഞങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.*

*റോസമ്മയ്ക്കായി ഒരു 'ICON ഐശ്വര്യ ഹോം' ഒരുങ്ങുന്നു..🙏*

ചില യാത്രാക്കാഴ്ചകൾ നമ്മുടെ ഉറക്കം കെടുത്താറുണ്ട്. കുറച്ചു മാസങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ്, ഫിലാഡൽഫിയയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള നമ്മുടെ വോളന്റിയർ ശ്രീ. റെജി മത്തായി കളത്തിപ്പടി ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ വെച്ചാണ് അന്ധയായ റോസമ്മയെ കാണുന്നത്. അവിടെ ലോട്ടറി വിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അവർ.
സംസാരിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് കരളലിയിക്കുന്ന ആ ജീവിതം അറിഞ്ഞത്. ഭർത്താവിന്റെ ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി ഉണ്ടായ കടബാധ്യത നല്ലവരായ പലരുടെയും സഹായത്താൽ മിക്കവാറും തീർപ്പാക്കി. പൊൻപള്ളി അടുത്തുള്ള രണ്ട് സെന്റ് സ്ഥലവും, അതിലെ 'ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ' എന്ന ചെറിയ പണിതീരാത്ത വീടും മാത്രമാണ് ഏക സമ്പാദ്യം. ഇപ്പോൾ കാഴ്ചയില്ലാത്ത മറ്റൊരു സുഹൃത്തും അവർക്കൊപ്പമുണ്ട്.
തിരികെയെത്തിയിട്ടും റോസമ്മയെ മറക്കാൻ റെജിക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ബാങ്കിൽ വെച്ച് പരിചയപ്പെട്ട ശാന്തി വഴി അദ്ദേഹം റോസമ്മയുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ നിരന്തരം അന്വേഷിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു (വീഡിയോ കാണുക). മറ്റാരുടെയും സഹായം കിട്ടാതെ വന്നപ്പോഴാണ് റെജി ICON-ന്റെ ഇടപെടൽ അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുന്നത്.
അതനുസരിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നമ്മുടെ മെന്റർ വന്ദ്യനായ മത്തായി റമ്പാൻ (മത്തായി റമ്പാച്ചൻ, ഞാലിയാകുഴി ദയറ) അവർകൾക്കൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങൾ റോസമ്മയെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു (ചിത്രങ്ങൾ കാണുക).

എല്ലാ ദിവസവും ഓട്ടോക്കൂലിയും മറ്റും കഴിഞ്ഞ് വെറും 220 രൂപ മാത്രമാണ് റോസമ്മയ്ക്ക് മിച്ചം കിട്ടുന്നത്! ഈ തുച്ഛമായ വരുമാനത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് കാര്യങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നത്.
ഇത്രയേറെ പ്രതിസന്ധികളിലും, കർത്താവിലുള്ള അടിയുറച്ച വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ പുഞ്ചിരിയോടെ മാത്രമാണ് ഈ ഭക്തയായ സഹോദരി നമ്മളെ സ്വീകരിച്ചത്. തങ്ങളെ ദൈവം കൈവിടില്ലെന്ന വലിയ പ്രത്യാശ അവരുടെ വാക്കുകളിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
നിലവിൽ അവരുടെ 'ഇമ്മാനുവേൽ' ഭവനം അടിയന്തരമായി നവീകരിക്കുകയും, സുരക്ഷിതമായ ഒരു ഗേറ്റും കോമ്പൗണ്ടും നിർമ്മിക്കുകയുമാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം.
മത്തായി റമ്പാച്ചന്റെ വലിയ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ, റോസമ്മയുടെ ഈ സ്വപ്നം യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാക്കാനുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ICON ആരംഭിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഈ വലിയ കാരുണ്യപ്രവർത്തിയിൽ ഏവരുടെയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും സഹായവും പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു… ലവ് ആൻഡ് പ്രയേഴ്സ്! ആ കൊച്ചു വീട് വലിയൊരു നന്മയാകട്ടെ.

🏡 ICON Aishwarya Home No. 98: Built on Faith, Completed with Love! 🏡
Team ICON is thrilled to announce the successful completion and handover of Aishwarya Home No. 98 in the Malabar area! 🎉
The Journey:
A 53-year-old single father and auto-rickshaw driver near our Kozhikode Aramana was struggling to raise his 16-year-old son in a rented room after losing his wife last year. Seeing their plight, a kind-hearted local parish member gifted them 5 cents of land, and the Malabar Diocese leadership reached out to ICON.
✨ The Blessing:
The house is now a home! On 24.05.2026, Fr. Boby Peter (Malabar Diocesan Secretary) led the blessing ceremony, and the family has officially moved in. The tears of pure joy from the father and son made every single effort worth it.
Our deepest gratitude to our incredible donors, well-wishers, and volunteers. We humbly bow before God's immense grace. 🙏
